We have always stayed at Stratford as its closest to everything we need to be. The staff is always helpful and chexknin is easy. The rooms are clean.

Friendly personal, stayed 3 days had problems with water everyday. Never once did i get to take a hot shower. Didnt matter what time it was.

Rough beginning

First room was horrible. Once I told them I was checking out they said they would upgrade me to a suite for the same price which I did. The suite was ok The hotel is old and definitely needs upgrades. Staff was awesome.

I literally booked the last room in the hotel after arriving in Temple late evening. Overall, my stay was good. The clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The room was good. The property appears to have been renovated over an extended time with the kitchen and flooring being recent updates, but the sink area was not renovated. I checked in after midnight using an after hours window, and I felt safe doing so. The property is across the street from Scott & White hospital, and 5 minutes from the VA. I would stay again.

Could be worse?

You have to check in from the outside, rain or shine. The clark was rude and could not speak english well at all. I have seen rooms less clean and they need to improve on this. The housekeeper was friendly. Cockroaches in the room.

The ceiling was yellow, stained and leaking directly over the toilet. Asked to change rooms. The next room didnt have a working microwave. The blanket had cigarette burns and was stained yellow on the inside. Would not recommend. They need to invest in renovations. I still added another night and was changed $100.

Room was outdated.

First of all they said my reservation room was not ready it was being worked on. I had to take another room and it was 15.00 more. When we entered the room it had a very heavy smell of some kind of spray. It was so strong. The room was very outdated. I would not stay again. We had a PKG of coffee for one person to have one cup. More needs to be put in room. It was my husband and I.

Disappointed overall. Very noisy group above us. Had to call the front desk at 1:00 am. Beds very noisy. Horrible sink condition, bare wood showing in bathroom from missing laminate, very dirty electrical outlets, torn up lamp shades in room, no washcloths available, no ice bucket. We checked in at 10:00 pm. Clerk not friendly and acted suspicious of us. Weird experience.

The room was peppered with mystery stains and fluids throughout. Unable to change rooms or get money back. Sub par repairs done to room, bathroom was in terrible shape (toilet was not mounted to the floor correctly, shower leaked, mold, shower rod was hanging on by a single screw on both sides. Not two like it required.) Roach seen 2 days into my 5 day stay. Housekeepers didnt go through my belongings though, i know this because they barely appeared. Like emptying off a table and a small trashcan and leaving. Same sheets the whole time, towels were prestained so i had to buy a towel from walmart. You get what you pay for.

Don't walk...run!! At first they tried to check us into a lesser room than what we paid for. They changed it as we were entering the room. Listed a garden that was really a patch of grass and table next to the dumpster. Loud music and drinking outside the neighbors room. Two small pillows on the king size bed. Walls were stained and dirty. We asked for extra pillows and towels. Got 1pillow and the towels were stained and torn. The microwave wasn't secured and pulled out of the above stove cabinet when I opened it. Cable, internet, and phone cut out at 9pm. The 24 hr attendant left at 8 so no one to check on missing amenities. Holes cut in the walls for rewires but not patched or repaired. Some outlets didn't work. Phone wasn't even plugged in. Only refunded for the 1night we didn't stay and still charged a penalty.
