We were in town and my daughter was able to visit us. However, our lodging was not able to accommodate her. We booked 2 nights here for here and it seemed great. I popped over and noticed she had a great balcony, with chairs, a large bed, and huge shower. On top of that the common areas, particularly the outside courtyard were really nice.

It was a nice looking place, in a very good location. However it was a bit damp, there had been a bit of rain the days prior and the bedroom had a cool damp feel and didn’t really warm up.

Alegría lodging is very well located close to main attraction in Tavira as well as restaurants. The property is immaculate and has all the amenities you need. Including a kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunches.

This was a lovely place in an excellent location! The host, Rui, was very welcoming and the staff is lovely. The room was good, bathroom is a little small for two adults to negotiate but we managed! Parking is about a 10 minute walk in a public parking space.

Great Location

The property was very well situated in the Old Town. It was very clean. We know Tavira well and we were just looking for somewhere to lay our heads, so it was ideal. Some of the furnishings are now in need of an upgrade and a full length mirror and some cupboard space would have been nice, however, it met our needs. .

The place is well located. It was not easy to gain entrance as the entrance was not clear. The tap over the washbasin was loose. I do not know whether the fault was with my tablet but sometimes the Internet connection fell off. Otherwise except for noisy neighbours this place was excellent.

The location was right in the center of town. The room was very small. No place to put your luggage. The room was clean and updated but compared to other hotels for same or less price, my room was very small and no breakfast was included.

Tavira is delightful! This hotel is cute! Right in the middle of town. One block from the beach ferry. Free parking a couple blocks away. Never stayed at a place with shared kitchen and courtyard. But it was super nice. Meet nice people over morning coffee. Got pizza next door at Mamma Mia, wine at the mart next to that. Ate it in our courtyard. Perfect!

Downtown Tavira

It is super clean! Great kitchen! Good bed. Nice little patio. It needs a sign downstairs which ring to use. There are few of them and you don’t know. Some boxes for sorting recycling would be good. Plus information what goes where. There is plenty of space under the sink, but there was just garbage there. I know, there are city recycling containers downstairs, but it is hard to run there with every single bottle or container. The result is, recyclable items finish up in the garage.

The place has been thoughtfully decorated and has a welcoming and homely feel. It is in close proximity to everything and a mini supermarket downstairs. The common area was always clean.

This is a very nice guesthouse with shared kitchen and courtyard. Everything is very clean and the beds are comfortable. We had an issue with our first room which was resolved by moving to a different room. It’s close to the waterfront making it easy to catch the ferry to the beach. We would happily stay here again.

We Didn't Stay!!

The photos are very misleading. When we arrived by Satnav outside of the door, we had to look around for the place, then we saw the smallest sign saying Alegria B&B and were being pestered by a drunk guy while we were ringing the property to be let in. The front door was dirty and a bit broken ... not a good start. The receptionist took quite a while to come to the door. Check in was after 4pm and this was about 4.15pm. We were shown upstairs to Design room 4. Everything looked clean, but so tired and dingy, including the bed linen. The double bed was the smallest that it could be just to fit in 2 side shelves. The bed looked like it dipped a bit in the middle and neither of us wanted to sleep in it. The door to the room was off of the shared kitchen and seemed very flimsy. We didn't even check out the bathroom. We didn't stay!!

Cet hébergement est propre et très bien situé. Les lits sont un peu durs. L'emplacement est très pratique, mais ça peut être bruyant tôt le matin. C'est écrit "bed and breakfast" à la porte, mais le déjeuner n'y est pas servi. Toutefois, il est possible de cuisiner sur place. Des tablettes et des crochets dans la salle de bain seraient très pratiques.

Comfortabele en nette kamer maar geen ontbijt

Comfortabele en ruime kamer met zicht op de straat. Het is een uitzonderlijk kalme omgeving ‘s nachts, wat toch niet onbelangrijk is. Motorfiets stond 3 dagen geparkeerd juist voor de B&B zonder problemen. Juist naast de deur is er een supermarktje wat wel nodig was want er was geen ontbijt te krijgen
