"The Oasis Beach Motel is a poor cousin to the Millennium Hotel (which owns it) next door. It has a beautiful lakeside location, but you need a lakeside unit before you get to enjoy that view. Otherwise, you may as well stay in a cheaper motel in one of Taupo's backstreets. The majority of the Oasis Beach Motel's units do not have a lake view. Reception is only staffed from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Outside those hours, all things Reception are done at the Millennium Hotel, where the Reception is said to be open 24/7. Housekeeping was of a good standard, and staff nice and friendly. I'd recommend it for the price I paid through Trivago, but manage your expectations, and remember you get what you pay for. I'd stay there again in a lakeside unit."

"We love visiting these spa pools every time we visit Taupo. So staying at the resort was an easy choice. Easy check in and out, quick walk to the pools and back. Room is clean, wifi's good. Enough space to park directly outside of the room. We've also stayed at the Hilton next door which has a fab pool. This is a great alternative if you want to save a it of cash. "
