Nice stay at Mama Maria - nice and welcoming staff

Our stay at Mama Maria was very nice. The host called Vito was a very welcoming and helpfull man. The cleaning staff was very helpfull and cleaned our room perfectly everyday. The hotel and its rooms are very but fair considering the price. The location is in the middle of the streets of Taormina. It takes a while to walk to the beach but it is worth the trip because of the beautiful view all the way.

Shame about the bed size in the suite

Booked the suite and expected a queen size bed , however when we arrived we saw staright away that the bed was only a third bigger than a single bed. In the uk it is called a 4 foot small double. To make matters worse it was by the wall. We went down stairs to complain and ask for another room but there were none left. We are larger than most people and there was no way we could sleep in it. Spoke to owner on phone who was very helpful and offered us a discount, but could not move us. Fortunately there was a roll out single bed under the bed so I slept in that and it was very comfortable. Really enjoyed Taormina and location was great, near loads of lovely restaurants and bars. Lovely room apart from size of bed. I see that it is now changed for future booking on Hotel.com which is good.

Mamma Maria in Sicily

Our host was amazingly helpful as on arrival he pointed out all points of interest and directions . Of mention...is that after the walk from the bus stop the elevator to all levels was grebatly appreciated. We were having trouble with downloading flight tickets and he was so helpful that we emailed them to him and were waiting for us at the desk. . Accomodation was within 200mtrs from al bars and food outlets. Room was made up with fresh towels everyday. Continental Breakfast with fresh coffee to order ( free)

Ottima sistemazione a due passi dal Teatro antico

Abbiamo scelto questa sistemazione per passare un w/e a Taormina. Parcheggiata la macchina al parcheggio Lumbi, la navetta ci ha portato proprio fuori le mura della città, che dista meno di 5 minuti a piedi dal B&B. All'arrivo ci hanno accolti con un bel bicchiere di thè freddo e poi subito ci hanno dato la camera, accessibile direttamente da un ascensore. La camera era ben condizionata, una piccola Tv a muro e un bagno ben pulito e dotato di doccia. La camera era ben silenziosa ed il letto molto comodo. La colazione è stata abbondante con cornetti appena sfornati.

Close to all sites and restaurants

Very lovely B&B in the center of everything. Walk to restaurants and shops. Vito keeps a very lovely inn. We would stay there again.

Good service, good location

Central location, welcoming service, but the breakfast was nothing specail. For this price i would expect a better buffet. Otherwise, very nice. Warning: leave your car at the parking garage upon entering Taormina!
