We loved our two-night stay at Glowing Mountain Tree House. It was such an authentic experience and felt like a real adventure! Philip was incredibly helpful and organised everything for us, from airport transfers to visits to the hot springs and Mount Yasur volcano. The tree house is within walking distance of the entrance to the volcano, which meant we were able to visit twice—an amazing bonus, especially as the weather was much better on our second visit. Philip’s wife also cooked us delicious, authentic local meals. The tree house is basic but very clean and comfortable. If you’re visiting Tanna to experience the volcano and don’t mind roughing it a little, I would 100% recommend staying at Glowing Mountain Tree House.

Amazing location, excellent home cooked food and wonderful hosts who will help with explaining, organising and visiting the local attractions.Stay more than one night to take full advantage of the volcano.

This is an authentic local experience that provides an opportunity to live like a local, but high above the jungle canopy in a hand-built treehouse. It is perfect for adventurous travellers wanting more than western-style accommodation with the odd hibiscus flower… this is true Ni-Van lifestyle immersion, right under an active volcano, in the midst of authentic villages, with people who will move literal mountains to make your stay memorable. And memorable it will be! Not suitable for elderly or very young travellers die to height of the treehouse, but adventurers unite! This place is all heart and soul, and hosts Philip and Suzanne are the beating pulse connecting it all. We arrived as strangers but we left as family. Highly recommended.
