Very Good

We were pleasantly surprised having never stayed at an HI hostel before. Check in was easy, the room was simple but perfect. We loved that the shower, toilet, and sink were all separate so our family bathroom time was more efficient. There was a basketball court, large pool, and outdoor green space available - great for kids. They allow you to use the shared spaces after check out as well. Pool towels were provided. The only negative was that the walls were very thin and people were outside playing with kids and yelling until well past 11pm. We put our kids to sleep at 8 and it was loud for a while.
Great location to visit Masada. Breakfast was very good. The only issue we had was when we returned in the evening, we had to wait a long time for someone to open the gate to let us into the property.
If you're looking romgo to Masada, this is the one and only place that is walking distance. It serves its purpose well. Just know that if they have groups of kids, they can be very noisy, especially while eating. Also, they have no staff to ask questions at night. So ask all your questions about access to the trailhead during the day. The entrance is right opposite the entrance to the hotel parking lot but its easy to miss when its dark.
The hostel at Masada was perfect! Simple room that was comfortable and clean. They informed us with a simple sheet of instructions, in English, about how to access the ruins. We rose early watched the sunrise over the Dead Sea and we’re back down in time for the included buffet breakfast. We even had time to use the beautiful pool,
Usually, if I book a room in a hotel and I have a visa, I am exempt from the VAT. Here, everyone was required to prove they have visas to be exempt. My son's ( a minor) visa was lost and they charged me an extra 17% for VAT.
Perfectly adequate Hostel for the Dead Sea and Masada area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Local attractions are easily accessible. It is all you would expect from a youth hostel in terms of accommodation, comfort and food. No complaints

Disliked: Staff & service

A place just in the entrance of Masada National Park. If you are planing to visit the park the next morning and walk to the top is the place to be.
If you are looking for for a night over in a road trip maybe you want to visit somewhere else with more amenities around the hotel.
Anyway the facilities are good.
My private toelet was filthy and I was charged $60 more than the price I was given on Expedia at the time of reservation.
However, it is in good location (especially if you're planning to watch the sunrise from the top of the mountain). the staff was friendly and breakfast exceeded expectations.
Bon établissement, hyper bien situé pour qui envisage l'ascension à la forteresse pour assister au lever du soleil. Un des meilleurs petits déjeuners de notre séjour en Israël (beaucoup de propositions).

Liked: Room comfort
Rooms not as clean as they should be. Great pool. Great access to Masada. Good mattresses. Very poor and inadequate breakfast.
Our stay was horrendous. The room we got given was very very basic and there was blood on the bed and in the bathroom walls. We eventually got moved. But then the key to the new room didn’t work - the service guy was very helpful and friendly but the reception staff was very rude when we told him about the issue and even when we said the key wouldn’t work. He was also very unfriendly when we checked in. Dinner was below average. The vending machines with snacks in them were all out of order - Masada is very remote and there’s nothing there so it’s very crucial that the vending machines work! Clearly Masada hostel has a monopoly in the area and they don’t care about their guests or the quality of the rooms!
