Great central location in the inner west. Be prepared for morning wake up of planes coming in at 6am - but that is the inner west. Rooms are a little worn but very clean.

Booked last minute and lucky they had a vacancy. Surprisingly good value. The place was clean and well maintained and the person who greeted us was professional and friendly. Would stay here again and can recommend. Parking is (only) available if you pay extra.

Nice bed, clean, had everything ya needed, was close to public transport. There was noise from airplanes overhead for those that are sensitive to such things. Check in was simple and no nonsense which suits me. Area felt safe with plenty of local dining options and a supermarket around the corner. All in all a very convenient place to spend the weekend. Shower slider was broken, but this didn't impact my experience.

Was initially sceptical after reading some reviews, However the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. As stated by others the rooms could do with a facelift , Other than that no complaints whatsoever

Stayed there 2 times in 3 days. Unit 213 not so good, air con couldn't warm the room properly, tv didn't show free to air channels, towels had holes in them. Unit 112 much better, slightly bigger, air con & tv worked, towels thin but no holes, however shower head in both units not great. Location is brilliant and price is good.

I stayed here Feb 2025. The room was as depicted in pics. New furniture carpets, and furniture, well cleaned. It has a security door for entrance off street. Considering it was on a major thoroughfare for buses to city it was very quiet. No traffic or plane noise. The buses go past to take you to central station. Room has fridge kettle and microwave. I did not go to adjacent shopping centre close by but you can google Norton shopping to see that.

The fan in toilet was dirty and dead insects, it doesn't take much to clean it , disappointed. Around taps chrome isn't cleaned properly and dirt comes out when water gets around it,same with kitchen sink in plug, needs to be cleaned properly and has brown dirt around it and skirting boards need a good clean. Noisy planes over head and pub on corner on Friday, Saturday loud till late. Room with bed clean and vacuumed. I liked the city view and terrace on side. I had the best room for that. If the husband ups the Cleaning and cleans everything well not just the things that you see it would be a much better comfortable room. The owners are nice enough. Cleaning really is the biggest problem.

~No parking available in empty basement carpark. Dirty white sheer curtains in room. Closed kitchen facilities. Too heavy quilt for hot night with no alternative e.g. a spare blanket in the wardrobe. No toaster in room. Comfy bed. Good TV. Handy to local shops.

Don’t stay in the City

I’d stay here again, but would make sure I specified the roof not on the corner of Parramatta Road and Balmain Road. The hallways give a false impression of the place being quiet, but the road noise was quite high in the room I had. Great location though, even if you’re from out of town. Norton St has everything you need, and plenty of Public Transport options.
