Staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool area and playground was very clean and well kept. Couldn’t find a hair dryer in my room but other than that, couldn’t fault my stay. It was wonderful. Thank you!
Small hic ups but excellent hotel will visit again
The hotel is excellent , clean quiet and good food. Only two small problems, we paid for our breakfast extra when we arrived at the hotel but we were told we hadn`t paid every morning of our stay. Which then had to be sorted out,we found a little embarrassing. Also we found the room rather cold in the evening being November and was surprised there was no heating on. we were very quickly given a portable heater when we told reception.
Amazing location and great hotel. The facilities with the gym, pool and spa were the icing on the cake. The dinner and breakfast also were very good. We will return!
We had a lovely stay here, pool was relaxing and fun. We ate at the flame restaurant and really enjoyed our food and dessert. The bar had great interiors and a pleasant atmosphere. All the staff we friendly and welcoming! My little on loved the play ground!
All good .. excellent facilities incl swimming & gym. Lift wasn’t working during our stay but otherwise a good long weekend stay for the entire family!
Lovely hotel. Staff were polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Room was spacious and in good decorative order. Plenty of choice at breakfast, food was good. The grounds are extensive and well kept. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay in the area, playground for the kids (although it was raining of course so we didn't get to use it!). We only stayed a short while, major downside was one of our rooms stank, probably had been a smoking room but the odor was dank.
From the warm welcome to the easy check out everyone was professional and friendly.unfortunately the room we were allocated had technical issues but we were intercepted before we got to the room and given the one next door ( a shame as the first room was even better) but very apologetic. The pool and garden were a bonus and the food in carries very good.
The hotel was lovely very quiet grounds amazing. Ate in Flame both nights as the food was so good in quality and portion size. All of the employees who I spoke to were polite and helpful. Already considering a return visit

Overall a good stay
Overall a good stay. Great there is a kids playground and staff were really friendly.
Soundproofing between rooms could be better especially if you are surrounded by families with kids. Pool in reality is smaller than what you see in photos and water was quite cool for babies and only a few loungers available.
Had a very enjoyable evening as I was travelling between site for work. The room was delightful and spacious. The food was also good value for money with generous portions and a fine selection of beers too. Didn't have the time to fully appreciate all the amenities, but they seemed very popular and I would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel
lovely stay, stunning gardens and views, big room, decent car park, food and drink was good. breakfast was spot on.
just wish they would make/serve you a tea or latte/coffee with the buffet breakfast. other wise great.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Good but could be improved
Enjoyed the stay. Staff friendly and polite. Our executive double room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but the decor was a bit tired and could do with updating.
OK.
Clean and functional. Dated rooms and interior. Good pub down the road - Heart in Hands - would recommend that.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Lovely reception and communal areas bedrooms however are dated with paper thin walls, could hear room side coughing and using electric toothbrush, the other side clearly on the telephone using the toilet and tv very loud, not the best 2 nights sleep. Rooms are tired and need modernisation, tv very old. Modern and cheaper are available locally
Lovely hotel but need to watch for all the extra charges they apply eg; extra charge for the 2nd person staying in a twin room! If booking via Expedia extra charges for using spa. Children age 13 upwards classed as adults but cannot check-in on own! Family room only takes children 12 and under - otherwise force you to get 2nd room!
Booked with expedia , hôtel advertised in center town of Swindon but was not !
Not much facilities next too, very old hotel, look like a nursery home.
Expédia staff was not good and professionnels to deal with very crap service from Expédia team.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We had a 2 night stay.
On arrival we were attended to by a less than enthusiastic receptionist.
There was no friendly conversation..
I asked her if I needed a towel, coin for locker..she said she didn’t know.
Cannot believe she’s not been asked that before…
We also had to ask where the pool was, what time breakfast was and where. Additionally we also wanted to know if we needed to book a table for dinner.
Although she did answer the questions, she should not have needed to be prompted. These are basic questions people usually ask.
On handing us the key, she was very clinical , again no conversation..other hotels we have stayed in usually offer their guest to ask for anything if needed and wish us a pleasant stay.
She didn’t do any of this.
Checkout was a little better..it was a different staff member.
Breakfasts were good, although I had to ask for water as there was none!
The fruit selection was always low by the time we arrived.
The general appearance of the hotel is that it’s looking tired.
I would not rate it as 4 stars.
The pool itself was nice.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, the changing room was awful.
Very old and in disrepair. Needs a complete refurb.
Chipped and peeling paint, benches were water stained. Looked as if it hadn’t been re done since it was originally installed, shame.
There was a function on which finished around midnight.
So loud drunk individuals outside our window in car park! Woke us up!
