We used the house as a base to explore the area out of Stockholm. So we were generally out all day and back late afternoon, so it served our purposes well. "Really a great option if you want to stay in Vaxholm for one night. Kids had fun. But generally: 1) the breakfast supplies started a bit too late for early travellers, not too helpful as for the instructions on the direction; 2) no private bathroom (nothing wrong from the descriptions though). Also, the limitation of leaving the island is the schedule of the ferry so do plan ahead:) Enjoy your stay anyway!"

"For the price, the accomodation was great! It was in a nice area and easily accessible by public transport. The room itself was a bit outdated. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the sheets were quite thin (perfect for summer!) as well as the towels. Bathrooms were pretty standard. There was no one ever at the reception which is why I gave it 4 stars. I like having someone manning the hotel I am staying at, however, overall, pretty good stay! Would recommend for friend travelling together or even solo travellers."

"I had a classic single room which was really small, but just enough for one person and was a great little base to operate from. The bed was comfortable, but the room has no table so I had to use the little stool as one and sit on the bed to use my laptop. The bathroom was just the perfect size, and the shower was great with very good water pressure. Breakfast was very minimal, and the coffee was not being filled fast enough to keep up with demand. I'd recommend trying to grab what you can and then go across the road to the patisserie for better coffee and pastries. Transport to and from here is no problem, as there are many buses that will take you the two stops to Ropsten where you can then travel into the centre of Stockholm by metro, bus, or even the line 80 commuter ferry. Overall I'd say this place is good to stay at for a short trip and I'd definitely stay again"
