Hotel was under renovation without any notice prior to arrive. Had to ask for everything including soap. Realized when ready for coffee, no cups. No carpet or baseboards in hallway. Everything was dirty with drywall dust. Air conditional was marginal at best. Asked for a different floor but apparently all floors were the same. Asked for a lower rate based on conditions but only received a token reduction. I have never written a review like this, so conclude what you want. Not a good experience.

The hotel was without basic things like ice. Sheets were dirty had to go get clean sheets and change bed ourselves. Bed was very "worn" and not comfortable in.the least. Had no soap in the restroom. Some outlets in the room didnt work, nor the telephone

not a bad stay

We were here to drop off the kids for college. The hotel is under renovation so its in a bit disarray. Combine with Covid there is no service so......it’s a great location to food, shopping and college move in. Plenty of parking. Ask for the front side of the hotel if you want to see town, otherwise you just see country. Bonus....Whataburger is walking distance. And the customer service, TOP NOTCH!!

Avoid until after remodel

The rooms are dark and damp. Had a special odor to them. I thought it was just my room but i overheard other guests complaining of the same problems. The hotel is under remodel so hopefully it will get better soon

We booked this room online because it stated it had a pool and we have a 5 year old. Nothing was stated pool was closed. After check in when we asked we were told “oh the website isn’t updated yet” At this point the other hotels with pools were booked. Also after check in we were told the complimentary breakfast was also closed due to COVID which also was not updated on the website. Definitely would have picked a different hotel had this been disclosed.

The hotel is undergoing some renovation and there was a smell. The air conditioner kept making a loud noise every few minutes. The beds were very uncomfortable. The site did not say that the pool and breakfast was not available. We were told there would be sacks with to go breakfast and none available. We had stayed here in the past and were very pleased. Not the case this time.

BAD CHOICE

We checked at 11 pm at night after driving 8 hours to get here. The front desk receptionist was unable to verify that the room had 2 queens plus a pull out sofa. She told us there were no rooms with this configuration, even though our reservation was listed this way. According to her all rooms sleep 4 people max and only had 2 beds. After 25 minutes, she grudgingly found an air mattress for us to use. When we went upstairs to the rooms, there were 2 double beds and pull out double sofa (exactly matching the reservation description!!!!) We wasted 30 minutes standing around in the lobby because of her ignorance about the hotel she was working at. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

They've done a nice job renovating and modernizing, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only minor complaint is they mounted the toilet paper several feet from the toilet so that only an orangutan might find it useful - the rest of us will have to remove the roll and set it on the tank :)

Hotel was very clean. Enjoyed the people there. Only problem was the pillows squashed down to nothing and it felt like there were no pillows at all asked for more pillows and they brought me two more. So over all stay was very nice.

Unpleasant greeting

The hotel was nice and breakfast was good. However the girl who checked us in was not friendly or engaging at all. Understanding everyone has a bad day maybe it was just that for her but in the hospitality business you should at least try to be pleasant. Husband went downstairs to see if they had aspirin and attitude wasnt any better. However we will book again since everything was nice.

I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. I paid extra for a “suite.” The picture showed a separate bedroom with a door in between it and the main living area. We were given a room with a partial wall between the living and sleeping areas. When asked at the front desk, they said that those were their suites. How do you put a picture of something on your site that doesn’t exist?

Great place to stay

Very clean and comfortable! Desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices. I loved the Kuerig coffeemaker in the room! We will stay here again next time we are in the area!
