Cabin was nice and clean view is breathtaking. Could definitely use some attention to the back door and the loose steps but overall our weekend get away was great.
We went to the cabin for the first three days of our honeymoon. We enjoyed the private hikes up and around the rocky bluff. The rocks offered moderate difficulty for beginner rock climbers and a great view from the higher ledges. There is a neighbor cabin in direct eye shot of the cabin, but we had fun there.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. Our hosts were wonderful. Great communication. They have mapped out three small trails near all the properties. The fire area was nice and secluded. It was a great weekend.
It was a great place overall. Tiny and quaint little cabin. Lots of tress down in the area because of the recent hurricaine so trails were not the best - even away from the cabin. Definitely need 4WD or AWD to get to the cabin. Very clean. All appliances worked well needs a new grill but was a nice little place to be.
I feel like the road up the mountain has places where cars have to lose momentum due to pot holes or surface change. The only thing I would change is the conditions of the road
It's a sweet little cabin. It met our needs and the view was so nice. Hot tub was clean and perfect temp. Highly recommend watching the sunrise from the hot tub. The management is responsive and kind. Mice are still a problem, we had to do a fair bit of cleaning before cooking. Windows, have smudges, etc.The bathroom was clean and the everything was tidy and modern. The scramble up the cliff behind was fun and not too hard for my out of shape self. The cabin next to it is susprisingly close, but you don't really see any other cabins while you are inside. Location is great, so close to the best of the Gorge.
The steps and bridge leading up to the property needs repair. The door from the bedroom to the deck where the hot tub is would not stay shut without locking it from the inside and the extra bolt on the door didn't work. The interior was nice. Would have been nice to have larger towels and an antenna for the TV to at least get local channels. We did have a nice stay anyway.
Driveway coming in for the first time was a bit steep and nerve whacking when someone was coming down with no where to pull off. Got the lay of the land and it wasn't an issue after.
Real nice place remote great setting. Access road can tricky with traffic and very steep in sections. If you meet another car someone’s backing up. Manager does mention the road in the description. Also you’ll get your work out in on the stairs.
Bed was very uncomfortable it needs to be replaced with a more comfortable one and the back door needs to be fixed it barely locks, and the stairs going up to the cabin need better lighting when dark and some of the steps are rotten, and the parking could be little larger , because it’s hard to turn around and then back up to the stairs
I would have given all 5 stars but there was no privacy. The only suggestion i have is put some curtains up.on the windows. Fix the bedroom.door so it will.shut and latch from the putside.
Most everything was as written in the description! However for the two of us, the bed was quite uncomfortable. For one person or two very skinny people, it would be fine. It has a dip towards the middle so we kept rolling into each other! lol, not horrible, but not comfortable to sleep all night. We ended up sleeping with one on the couch and the other in the bed. Otherwise, the location, the view, the amenities were absolutely perfect! Thank you for enhancing our stay in Kentucky!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
It was ok
The place was pretty dirty. Dust webs hung from the ceiling, chunks of dust on the ceiling fan and taxidermy. Mouse poop in the kitchen drawers. Every piece of kitchen equipment needed a scrub before using. Lastly, the pics are inaccurate. They must of been taken right after construction. The tress r now as tall as the patio so there is barely a view.
