"Good sized room and the bed was huge. The rooms are above the bar area which was fine as its wasn't too noisy. The car parking is easy as there is loads of space. I used this location as it was a short drive to the Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. the kitchens close about 8:30 ish so if you are late back for food I can recommend the Indian about 100mtrs down the road. All in all a nice location for a few days away"

"The staff here are lovely, I had a warm welcome from Zorro the dog. Rahol and the housekeeping ladies Nat and Hayley couldnt do enough to make my stay the best. The little issues that I encountered were resolved efficiantly and with genuine care by those 3 . Sunday roast was the best Ive had in a long time, I just wish I had more time here to sample more of the menu. I thought that the visitor's guide books in the bedrooms were a nice touch. "Bestwood Lodge is a very old building in need of investment but for me that’s part of its charm. On the run up to my function I felt there was a bit of casualness around arraignments however on the night everything was spot on the staff were brilliant from the manager down the buffet food was spot on the venue DJ (Kes) was absolutely brilliant my accomadation was spot on. All in all my experience was very good and I would definitely use Bestwood Lodge again. "
