"This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

"It was a great place to stay, the owners were accommodating and made sure it was comfortable for us. Traditional style Japanese lodging that has been in the family 6 generations! "

"Overall property was excellent and location was great within walking distance to all the famous temples in Nara Park. However when requesting a taxi to take us back to the train station it took longer than expected and we missed our train departure. Also taxi/car is limited as the hotel is located directly in the park. Walking is faster but with heavy luggage it’s not very convenient."

"The house itself is spacious and cozy. The garden is a pretty one and invites for relaxing hours in the sun. We got a tour through the facilities by the extremly kind host! I definitely recommend staying here."

"Wonderful stay. Lovely kaiseki dinner. The staff were super attentive and friendly. The hot spings were clean and very relaxing after a long day walking and driving. Oh and the view from the room in the morning across the valley was stunning"

"It was my first time staying in a ryokan and I had a wonderful experience. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It feels serene surrounded by nature, along with the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were also extraordinary."

"One of our favorite experiences while in Japan. The room was incredible, the staff were very accommodating, and we enjoyed the dining experience very much. Although the trek out here was a bit more of a challenge. It was well worth it. The only thing we would have changed is we wish we were able to stay an additional day. Thank you ver much"

"It is a typical Japanese business hotel-like one in touristic area. The room is very small with tiny (system) bath (unlike other Daiwa-Roynet that I had stayed before in Sendai, and Koriyama, etc.) The location is good but can be slightly tricky for first comer to find it because it is behind another high-rise hotel in front of West exit of Nara JR station so that you cannot see the hotel sign upon exiting the Nara JR station. But still within easy walking distance.
One good thing related to this it's relatively quiet, almost no train noise nor any street noise is audible in the room (12th floor).
The property appears to be slightly old but has been under good maintenance and in good condition.
The breakfast is good, not excellent though: it has everything that you can expect from typical small Japanese hotel; relatively weak on breads and salads. The venue for breakfast is small so that you may want to check the crowd status shown on your TV monitor in the room. One big catch that I found is that you cannot open the window so that we missed the fresh morning air. Overall it was a good stay in Nara area."
"In information like iron and board looks like is like amenity but its like rental. Dont do reservation now pay later it will be higher and If you choose non smokeroom make sure before submit. Toilet toooo small absolutely some body part touch or hit somewhere. Much Shorter than basic economy class.
But 30 minute walking distance to Narita Park Museum, and Grand Budha 15-20 min Narita Station or subway. Reception knows well english and helpfull."
"Hotel was clean, staff friendly and in a perfect spot for those that want some peace at the end of the day. Private Shower or use of Public Bath (which is very nice to soak aching feet). Sarusawa Pond is beautiful to look out at either from the terrace or local Starbucks. Wild Deer on your doorstep and Nara Park a short walk. Plenty of food spots to pick from covering most if not all styles (including macdonalds if you're picky).
Perfect Stay, would 100% stay again."
"The Ryokan was even better than we expected. We had a private outside wooden onsen tub with our room. It was so soothing to soak in the morning and evening. The food was fantastic - we chose kaiseki each night. But the best thing was the impeccable service. Hung took good care of us all through our stay. Okasan in dining was great and funny. The front desk and shuttle drivers were so good as well. We intend to come back to this relaxing oasis"
