Bad bad bad.

We was moved three times because the ac wasn't working. The 3rd room had water puddles on the floor and the wood floor was bubbled up . The blinds didn't work and the ac said 84. The lady in the office never showed her face one time. We communicated by phone and text. The pool is small and behind a private home. We didn't even spend the night. Only thing good about this was we got a refund. Thank you hotels.com.

We stayed here a few weeks ago. The location is perfect. It’s a quick walk to the beach, and there are shops and nice restaurants (we highly recommend Das Pizza) within walking distance as well (a little less than a mile probably). This place was a studio apartment that was basically a place to sleep and shower. There were no couch or chairs in the main living room. So if we wanted to sit and watch tv we had to lay in bed. We did have a roach issue while we were there. We came across 3 or 4 in the first 2 days we were there. The property manager sent out an exterminator and scheduled us for a midstay room cleaning (which I guess isn’t a normal thing?). The exterminator came, but we had to ask again for the room cleaning. I’m not sure how an exterminator and a housekeeper go into a place and not clean up the dead cockroaches? Finally our room was cleaned a couple days later. The manager was accommodating and after talking with a rep from Orbitz she agreed to refund us for 1 of our 7 nights. The reviews that say this place was fully stocked and you don’t need to bring a thing must have been pre-covid. The items in stock were very basic. 2 plates, 2 bowls, 1 glass, 1 coffee cup, 2 shower towels, 2 wash rugs, a hand towel , and 2 beach towels. There was no extra of anything. There were no condiments or spices or anything like that. So be prepared to buy everything if you grocery shop for the week.

Nice but somewhat disappointed

The Southwind was in a great location, a few feet from the waterway/Jetty. The room is a little out dated but not bad. Bed was comfortable. If you are staying one night or two your amenities are adequate. We stayed 5 days , 4 nights and had to call several times for simple items like toilet paper, towels , garbage bags etc. we had no wash cloths initially at all until day 2. Coffee enough for 2 days . only. Pool was clean and nice but no chairs/ loungers to enjoy it. The TV had no cable for local news or channels. It does have all the movie channels via Netflix, Starz, etc. If you want to watch any football, this is not the place for you. We stayed here 10 years ago on the mid stop of our Honeymoon and loved it. Was mostly disappointed this time.

this place is an old 50s motel I think... so nothin' fancy... but if you're here for the weather and not the room you'll be completely happy... the grounds are lovely and lush - and face the intracoastal... you'll see the cruise ship to Bahamas coming and going every few days!... there is a pool but it's not heated so it's cold in the winter... but pretty to sit by and watch the world go by... sunsets are fabulous!...  the units have everything you'll need... it has a fully-stocked kitchen... you don't need to bring a thing from home... the bathroom is small but functional and they even supply towels... my only complaint about the bathroom is I had to buy an ext'n cord so I could blow dry my hair... there is one plug - and it's up in the light fixture and won't accommodate today's hairdryers with their big boxy plugs... but if yours is a regular plug you'll be fine... there's an HD tv... and all the channels you could hope for incl netflix and prime...  my unit had a king sized bed and comes with sheets and pillows... and they even put a power bar by the bed so you can plug your devices in at night... it's not luxurious... but I came to be outside and enjoy the florida weather... so I was completely happy and would come again...
