We will continue to come back! Beautiful beach, friendly and accommodating hosts, all the amenities you need, perfect distance to everything . The host was so welcoming and made us feel like a part of the family the second we arrived until we left!!

The view from this property is amazing. Debbie and Doug are amazing hosts and want this to feel like home for you. One of the best experiences with a room I have had. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is so much better than it shows. I WILL BE BACK!!!!

Loved the views, the privacy and the beach at your front door. But to top it off Debbie & her Husband went out of their way to make sure I was good my whole stay. Definitely recommend & will definitely be back!

Please don't even think of travelling to St. Marten unless you're going to stay at the Toad. When I arrived, four out of the eight suites were occupied by "regulars" who had been coming there for years. I found out why. A stunning view right on the water, steps to the warm sea. A parade of yachts going by. Always something to see. I enjoyed watching planes taking off and the sound was not bothersome. And then there's Debbie and Dan. You couldn't ask for nicer people. The nightly happy hour was a wonderful opportunity to chat with fellow travelers I didn't even rent a car for my six day visit. I walked to stores and restaurants You'll be happy to stay there!

We Shall Return

As being First Time Visitors to St Maarten, Cherry meet us out late when we got there due to some airline Delays and gave us the lay of the land. The waves pounded outside at the beach all night and it was super relaxing. The beach is 10 feet from the edge of the yard and it is absolutely beautiful. It was located near bars and breakfast places within walking distance on the beach or driving down the road.

quiet guest house on beautiful beach

Walk out of your room , onto white sand beach and into turquoise waters. Easy access to airport , restaurants, and water activities. Rooms are spacious with well-equipped kitchen. Fresh flowers and daily newspaper. Owners are great hosts, very helpful. They make you feel at home.

Gemütlicher Wohlfühlort

Das Guesthouse ist ideal für ältere Leute, die sich entspannen wollen. Man fühlt sich willkommen und wie zu Hause. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist wunderbar. Alles ist sauber und traditionell eingerichtet. Supermarkt und Restaurants sind ganz in der Nähe. Gleich nebenan ist der Flugplatz, ideal für Fliegerfans, manchmal sehr laut. Es hat keinen Pool, kein TV, aber sehr gute Internetverbindung. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Everything one might expect in a smaller beachfront hotel and then some. Owner/managers were very hospitable - they even threw a delicious St Patrick's Day dinner party and invited all the guests. Nightly happy hour gatherings. Located directly on a beautiful stretch of Simpson Bay Beach. Short walk to restaurants, stores and bus transportation. Very accessible to airport so there is some airport noise but not late at night..

Excellent choice!

We prefer resorts that are not a franchise and are not all inclusive. We like to experience our vacation without the 'mega resort' environment. Based on reviews, we chose to stay at this resort and we loved it so much we already reserved our room for next year. The staff are excellent and could. It have been more friendly. The only reason we honored a four star for cleanliness is because as with mega resorts this place does not have tile/quartz floors, 24/7 cleaning staff and the most up to date accommodations, which was absolutely fine with us. However some individuals may expect different. We were pleasantly surprised that four of the couples who were at our resort have been returning for 10+ years. Just that alone confirms how well respected this resort is.
