Affordable and quiet

The key to this stay is realizing that it is an owner Motel that you are staying at for a very affordable price. It is dated, it is safe, it is clean and quiet.

Older Motel with interior remodel. Great value

The place is small and an older local hotel. The lady at desk was nice and helpful. The property looks like an old hotel from back in the HWY 66 days but it has been remodeled on inside of rooms and they are nice. Considering the price it is a good value and clean place to stay. I would stay again.

Superb

This historic hotel has held up well over the years. The family that runs it is so nice and kind we stay here many times as we travel between Colorado and Texas. The rooms are always clean and the service always incredible keep in mind. This is a luxury hotel, it’s a nice hotel on route .

When we decided to take a Route 66 trip, we looked for things recognizable and were happy to see that the Blarney Inn in Shamrock, Texas, was still there. We remembered it being clean and comfortable, now it's SHINEY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. Even the small laundry was scrubbed after every use! If you are looking for a true Route 66 experience, choose the Blarney room with confidence; it's a true Mom and Pop Motel but extravagant compared to our stay 53 years ago.

This is an older Route 66 motel but the room is clean and the staff are very friendly. This was my third stay. I will say I wish they had ice but it's not a deal breaker.

I really like this motel. It’s my third stay. It is very basic, but the price is right and it is conveniently off Rte 40. It is funky, 50s or 60s vintage, no frills, a little shabby, but clean and comfortable. The parking is right in front of the rooms, which not always the case and it is all ground floor. It can be a little noisy.

There was a loud barbecue going on among the proprietors and friends until well after 10pm. As I was to be on the road early in the morning I didn’t appreciate it. The room was clean and within my budget, for that I am grateful.

Updated and very clean. The bed was too soft. I got a back ache. The area was nostalgic Rt 66 with relic buildings, but there was no grass or designated area for my dog to releive himself.
