I was impressed by the solitude of the area and the hotel. We arrived from the chaos of Rome, had a smooth check in with a friendly clerk, and went to sleep in a very comfortable bed. Woke to a lovely morning... sunrise, total quietness. Highly recommend this place even if it's a ways off the beaten track. About one hour 35 minutes from the airport. Worth the drive.

One night stay

Our one night stay in Vantsholt was very nice and calm. Staff was very friendly. Common room was great for just sit, relax and enjoy coffee or tea which were free. Rooms were clean with very nice view to the nature.

Be careful when booking that you note whether you are getting the beds you want. We ended up with twin beds and aren’t sure how that happened. The facilities were basic and the grounds had lovely views.
