Timedrops was amazing! We had a fantastic time here. Nicholas is so helpful and arranged our transfers, boat trip, car rental and is on hand whenever needed. The rooms were authentic and full of charm and character. The pool was clean and refreshing. There are a lot of steps which could be steep for older guests. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Nicholas even bought a new fan so our son could have one in his room at night. We even made friends with a very friendly grey cat from the neighbourhood who joined us for meals! Shops and restaurants are a short walk away and convenient. I'd recommend Timedrops for anyone wishing to have a quiet stay in a traditional area of Santorini away from the crowds of the more popular towns.

We stayed at Timedrops for a 5 day mini-break in Santorini earlier this month. The location, central to Emporio allowed easy connections across the island. The villa, Thira, was very well appointed. Set inside the hillside, the ambience was authentic and welcoming. Nikos, the manager for Timedrops was attentive and shared many useful local insights. We were incredibly impressed with Timedrops, and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

So glad we picked this location, which feels unspoilt by tourism and is perfect for a relaxing break. The villa is well equipped and the private pool and terrace relatively private compared to the exposed villas of Fira and Oia. Emborio is a charming village to walk around with lots of narrow alleyways to wander through. Photo opportunities are plenty. Our host, Nikos, was very welcoming and most helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Thoroughly enjoyable break.

It’s a great spot to get with the locals and off the rat race. Locals are friendly. A rental car is a must staying here as it gives you the best option to move around the island. Be sure you have your wit wits about you driving as the roads are very narrow around the island

Sea views from Thira

We stayed 2 nights in Thira. The apartment is light and bright with lots of space. There’s a spacious roof terrace with sea views and good seating. It is the highest of the apartments offered at Timedrops and not overlooked.

Stayed 2 nights at Volcano. Comfortable apartment with a large roof terrace and a smaller terrace with pool by front door. No views from inside apartment, but sea views from terraces. Emporio is a lovely town - very peaceful.

Gorgeous, traditional Greek villa.

This property was amazing. Great attention to detail and fabulous private pool. Situated in a quiet part of Santorini away from the masses but also a great location for exploring the island. We really appreciated how helpful Nicholas (the host) was. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend Timedrops to others.

Non touristic insider tip

Timedrops Santorini is a very nice property with some small disadvantages. The apartment is very nicely arranged, all furnitures are in a good condition. You even have a sea view. They clean the apartment every day and you get new towels and every 3 days new bedclothes. The manager is very nice and helpful and you can contact him 24 hours. The apartment has some small disadvantages: There is only one wardrobe for four people. The apartment has no air-condition, only fans. This is in the summer times not enough. The pump of the pool is working the whole time and this is very loud.

Quiet-Good for Families-Need Car

We really enjoyed our stay. Nicholas was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. Our villa was spacious-2 bed-2 bathrooms-kitchenette-small pool-and outdoor living area. It's a quiet location with several amenities close by-restaurants, grocery stores, coffee cafes. Highly recommend a rental car to get around as bus service is sketchy. Laundry service is 10 euro per load-loads are small. They also have a small lending library. If you want a beach party vacation-this is not your place; but everything we wanted to do was easy to access. We recommend Pizza Fillipos-near by and delicious!

The place was more beautiful than expected and an amazing place to hang out. The service of the hotel was also impeccable. Any time we needed anything, be it help ordering food or being locked out of our rooms, the front desk attendant was there in a matter of minutes. I expected more. Was nothing special just like Santorini. Was supposed to have sofa bed and didn't. Also private pool was tiny and way to cold to swim in. I suggest staying somewhere else.
