"Everyone was so nice & helpful. We ate Dinner at the indoor area by the pool and had a great time thanks to the staff. The manager Joseph was so nice and helpful. He recommended and let us taste some new wines that we have never had.. He was very knowledgeable and very nice and helpful with all of our questions..He took time out to show us how to get to certain bars & restaurants at the hotel. And our waiter Roger was very nice:) we met a lady named Amy and she was sweet and explained how to get around at the hotel. We are here for a wedding and it’s our first time to Europe. "Shiny outside, Rotten core. Stay somewhere else. I travel to Europe multiple times a year. I stayed at two other hotels in Portugal on this particular trip. Same procedure everywhere. Pictures of the passports, confirm payment for the room and incidentals, sign. My flight was early in the morning. My companion's was later in the day. She stopped at the desk as a courtesy to let them know that they could clean the room. Their response was to hold her and make her pay for the room and incidentals even though it was already taken care of. They humiliated her for almost 5 hours. Of course she was embarrassed at her treatment, and panicked that she was going to miss her flight. Her credit card was frozen because of the random international charge. She was reduced to years. She managed to secure all but 250 Euro through friends back home until finally they used my credit card for the balance. I have never even heard of a hotel with such blatant disregard for hospitality or basic human kindness. They took distinct pleasure In hurting a person when they had the ability to satisfy themselves the whole time. They just chose not to. During our stay, we couldn't figure out why something was just off. The staff was either smug and callous or operating out of fear. It's clear that this is a foundational culture issue that will pollute your experience. I would highly recommend you choose somewhere else to stay."

"The most helpful staf ever. When I forgot some documents in the room, they went there to check and let me know the documents were there, safe, They did within minutes of my contacting them so I could have piece of mind. I am very grateful."

"Good location. The room they gave me was not the best, no view (upgraded to junior suites). the suite had small kitchen, garbage was not picked up daily and I had to call for supply refills. the shower was the big problem for me that they never fixed it after so many requests to fix it. "

"The hotel is good but not the 9.6 advertised on hotels.com. Our sliding toilet door was missing so privacy was an issue. The electric curtains were not connected properly and the television was glitching. Staff were very nice and location was good. This is a 7 out of 10 for me. It felt a bit tired. "

"The staff were kind and helpful. The place was very clean! We were two travelers sharing a room not in a couple and had to ask twice for twin beds not pushed together. They came to separate beds but then upgraded us to a nicer room with a great view the next morning and brought us cakes. This would be a fabulous place for a couple but the bathroom lacks a door and even though the toilet had a glass door, the shower was open. So two people not in a couple lack privacy. Otherwise I have no complaints it was wonderful and the massages in the spa were the best we’ve had! Everyone was kind and helpful! Great place for couples!"
