Secluded peaceful place

Great staff, good quality food at prices similar to city (but it can take a long time), comfortable room, sunny open pool area. The beach and sea here is not good for swimming so it is good they have the pool (the neighbouring properties all have no pool). It is very isolated so once you arrive, it may be hard to leave.

This is unique place with an amazing staff! Its really paradise. You live on the beach and fall asleep with the sound of waves coming into your room. My room was pretty, modern and big. The bed very comfy (best I had so far in Colombia). There were some issues with the electricity and the water in the room. For the price you pay that shouldn't be the case, but I guess those things can happen when you are in such a remote area. Luckely, the staff did everything in their power to solve all issues. And they were great otherwise. Helping booking tickets to Tyrona park, arranging taxis etc. And just making you feel welcome. A small sidenote, its not easy to get there (at the end of a sand road) and once you are there you'll spend most of your time on the property. For that reason I would recommend it more for couples and families than individual travelers. But still, I really enjoyed it :-)

Es un hotel muy lindo, para estar en familia fue relajante y cuenta con varios espacios. El servicio es extraño, no vi una disposición al 100 con los clientes.

The Blue Mango was a great stay for a closely located bungalow near the beach. Check-in was available in English or Spanish and was quick. The Cabanas a cozy and only several feet from the shared bathrooms and pool. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist us with questions and requests. Happy with the visit.

Es un bonito hotel en la playa del Tayrona. Es pequeño pero tiene lo básico para un buen descanso. El Wifi funcionó bien. La via de acceso al hotel está un poco deteriorada y el desayuno se puede mejorar.

Our stay at Blue Mango was just what we needed. The food was excellent, the grounds were amazing, the clientele were enjoyable and the relaxation offered was sublime. Really really great place and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll be staying here.

Nice and clean

Pros: The room is wide and clean as well as the shower. There is hot water in the shower luckily. Huge and comfortable bed. Staff are friendly and helped me with everything I needed. Hammock area infront of the beach is great to chill at. Cons: A little expensive in my opinion. Pool was not welcoming at all, I think it's due to sea sand in it.. didn't look clean to me. Location is only ok, all the good vibes are 6 mins walk away (so not too far)

El hotel es prácticamente nuevo y muy lindo. Las instalaciones son comodas y excelente el servicio. Por mejorar: 1. Las vasijas que disponen para enjuagarse los pies están llenas de lama, deberían lavarlas, cualquiera puede adquirir una infección. La verdad daba asco meter los pies ahi! Un buen plus mal ejecutado. 2. Las almohadas están de cambio. Fue nuestra opinion y la de las 2 parejas de amigos con las que fuimos. 3. Los bungalow deberían tener mejor sistema de ventilación, la madera es super caliente, es demasiado caluroso para estar ahi en el día. 4. El ultimo dia que estuvimos la piscina estaba super sucia, con capa de grasa de bronceadores y bloqueadores.

Hidden Gem!

We are so glad to have found this hidden gem! It’s just far enough off the beaten path that it feels exclusive and remote, while still being an easy taxi ride to Santa Marta. The owners and staff are most welcoming and accomodating. Laura, Andy and all of the staff helped make our time here very memorable. The pool is by far the best on the beach, and is a great place to enjoy happy hour margaritas expertly mixed by Beto! The rooms are very spacious and clean, with great a/c and hot water, and the beds are super comfortable. We will definitely be making it back to The Blue Mango for some more of their expertly crafted food and relaxation. Many thanks!
