A good find!

Great little hotel. Close enough to the beach but far enough to be quiet. The hosts Carlos and Saymar were very helpful and friendly. It’s a family hotel so please don’t show up too late for check in. Would definitely stay again.

Property is located in La Punta. walking distance to restaurants and bars in la punta. Not a bad area if you rent a scooter. During our stay Hot water was not working so we had to take a cold shower every day.

No name or house number; property is found on a sandy back alley — Impossible to find without geolocation. Otherwise, it’s all good—with host— Carlos, taking care quickly and efficiently of any requests. Quiet oasis—yet close to cool, part zone. Property is located in Brisas de Zicatela, 6.7 km away from Puerto Escondido, great place for surfers, and about 2 km away from Mercado Zicatela— great place to find a range of healthy and gourmet eating options.

We really felt so relaxed here, Carlos was super nice and helpful. We stayed for a week and each of the guests we met were equally relaxed and friendly. Room decor is modern but not over bearing. Personally I thought the location was perfect, nice and quiet. Lovely coffee shop 1 min walk and the main street 3 min walk. Carlos was arriving home as we were leaving and then gave us a ride to our onward accommodation in Puerto Escondido. Thank you 😊

There was nobody there to receive me at check in time 15:00 after a very long and exhausting trip. This is the very first time that I’ve experienced that the person in charge or the owner do not know how to use the booking channels to send a message. I got told off for not letting them know all my arrival details a day in advance. When I expressed my discomfort to Carlos Gonzales -the one “in charge” he raised his voice, was unkind and gave me a series of excuses as why he couldn’t be there to welcome me. I then asked to cancel the second night and he said that I should do it myself because he was not going to do it. I had to ask for towels and soap. The towel was old and smelly. The place is extremely basic, the mosquito net from the window is completely broken, the pool is filthy, the kitchen had dirty dishes, there was music playing until late at night. I felt uncomfortable and insecure and do not recommend this property at all.

La peor experiencia en hospedaje

Tuvimos varios incidentes. A) No hay estacionamiento, al comentarle esto al Host, nos indicó que con estacionamiento los hospedajes oscilan entre los $4500 MXN y que era tema de la App porque él no tenía. B) Llegando, no pude abrir la puerta de la entrada de la propiedad, el dueño me abrió y no le pareció que no hubiera entendido sus instrucciones de apertura (al parecer a todos les pasa, porque los siguientes huéspedes sufrieron exactamente de lo mismo). C) Pagué con tarjeta y me cobró el 6% extra, un abuso porque ningún hotel lo hace y los comercios que cobran comisión, como máximo cobran es el 3%. D) Nos dio otra habitación diferente a la que yo había reservado. E) Me metí a bañar en la noche sin luz en la bañera (no hay), el desagüe estaba tapado lo que provocó que el agua de la regadera se derramara a la estancia, mi novio tuvo que destapar el baño y el dueño limpiar el agua… por esto, intentó cobrarme $500 MNX por limpieza y por derrame del agua (al parecer no sabe que una persona gasta en promedio 20 litros por minuto en la ducha: un baño de 5 minutos significan 100 litros), se puso histérico y grosero. Si está tapado el desagüe y no hay luz, no debería de ofrecer esa habitación y mucho menos, pretender cobrar $500 MNX extra por limpieza y derrame de agua. F) Posteriormente, nos quitó el wifi y el agua caliente. Conclusión: no lo recomiendo, jamás volvería. La peor experiencia en mi vida de viajera y solo estuve una noche.

Fue una buena estancia, muy tranquila la zona y cerca de la playa caminando. Nos quedamos 1 semana y solo nos hicieron limpieza y cambio de toallas y sabanas 1 vez, no hay televisión ni agua caliente que creo que son aspectos que se toman en vuenta muchas veces, pero depende de gustos.

Es un lugar que tiene un cierto encanto, tiene potencial, pero la atención a cliente está muy perdida, a los dueños les falta más además de solo escribirte para recibirte y mandarte recomendaciones. Jamás los ves, nadie te recibe. A menos que te toque coincidir con el chico de mantenimiento que es muy amable. Nuestra habitación estaba semi abierta cuando llegamos y olía mucho a humedad y estaba plagada de mosquitos, lo solucionaron con insecticida, no había papel, pero luego ya nos dieron y mencionan que ya no dan shampoo. En lo personal me gusta dormir con el aire acondicionado y la cama solo tiene una sábana que se ve percudida, por lo que pedí una frazada, total, el dueño Carlos, me dio una lección de porque la gente no quiere y pide frazadas en un clima cálido. Pero al final, supongo que le dijo a el chico de mantenimiento y me dieron una, la cual tenía una chinche o garrapata a la cual tomé foto dentro de la habitación, (no creo que haya sido con mala intención) pero urge corregir situaciones en el hotel, fumigar y estar al pendiente de los huéspedes, me he quedado algunas veces en hoteles económicos que tienen un excelente servicio y atención a cliente, ser económico no es excusa a dejar desatendido muchos detalles.
