We loved staying at the Palace Modern. It was clean, comfortable, and so stylish! Central to everything and within easy walking distance. Our only regret is not having time to enjoy the beautiful restaurant on the property.
Jay at the desk was wonderful. We had an issue with the tv in the room and she worked continuously to resolve it. She was kind and professional.
Thanks Jay.
Excellent location. Perfect amenities. And although I was a bit apprehensive about a staff person not being onsite to assist, they foresaw every possible request.
Santa Fe perfection!
The rooms are beautiful and so well designed. This was JUST the place to be - walking distance to everything while enjoying clean and comfortable accommodations. Thank you!
An excellent concept for a boutique hotel and art gallery. Impeccably appointed, private, quiet and a cache space that I would recommend for art collectors. Expert, professional gallerist. Thank you.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property or the staff. The only thing I was missing was a fan noise and being able to make the room colder than 65°. Other than that everything was perfect! So quiet and clean, easy coffee maker. Feels special to stay there!
This is a really great hotel. Newly remodeled and very nice. Comfortable. Nice furnishings. Great location 3 minutes from The Plaza. Very quiet. Highly recommend. Would stay here again for sure.
Bed was very comfortable and sheets and towels of a high standard. However it was impossible to dry the latter unless you helped yourself to exchange ones from the storage closet. There are a few spares left.
Situation was excellent but car park was 500 yds away. We should have had the CP next to the hotel.
Coffee supply was good.
Incredibly short of storage both wardrobe and drawers.
We were shocked not to receive breakfast after the exorbitant amount that was paid for the room.
The locking system was very odd. Over complicated.
Within the first few minutes of moving into the room my husband almost knocked out by walking into the side of the shower which had been disguised by a curtain. The next day I met another guest who had done the same thing. There should be some compensation paid. It is the most ridiculous shower I've come across and is lethal. The concierge said it had happened before. Said with a smile as she wasn't in the least bit concerned. My husband had quite a bump on his forehead the next day.
Very clean and beautifully decorated room. The one thing that really threw me off was the parking garage is two blocks away. Very grateful to have parking in this area but wish I would have known how far it was before I booked, as a solo female it was uncomfortable walking back to my room, the parking its self has security and was very safe.
This was a new experience for me. It is a very small 12 room (as far as I could tell) hotel. It is within comfortable walking distance of everything downtown Santa Fe has to offer. The room, was clean and comfortable. There is one exception, the coffee table, which I was told was being addressed so I won't go into details. It was so quiet and I never heard people walking down halls and shutting doors. I didn't get to dine at the restaurants but they smelled amazing. Make sure you read the email you receive a few days before. It is self check in and parking. There is not a staff on site, but a very responsive phone number. The parking garage, once entering go the furthest back you can and take the elevator with the tile floor. The will let you off on Marcy. I highly recommend.
We liked this hotel a lot!
. It was well maintained.
. It was clean.
. It was a perfect location to the square.
. The bed was comfortable.
. The amenities smelled lovely! There was even provided a makeup remover wipe which worked beautifully and a wash rag specifically for taking makeup off!
Cons:
The parking garage was 2 blocks away. It was complimentary though.
The room was a little tight. The bathroom door opened into the bed. If you are working at the desk, no one could walk past you. The bathroom shower didn’t have a door and there was no bath mat provided, so the floor got a little wet!
All that said, this hotel would most definitely be a place I would stay again. We were able to work around all the negatives.
Our room was clean & well decorated, but small. No front desk help or tv service. I had to log into my accounts to watch tv. Great location with plenty of walkable dining options! Love the modern style!
The online check in made things quicker and easier. I didn't get my email regarding codes and how to's but emailed the facility and received instructions immediately. Room was very clean and the property quiet. I would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to family and friends.
It was very quiet, and a nice, modern room. Big bonus being just a block or so from the plaza and near many restaurants. Neg's. A small room with no view.
Be prepared that the property has no on-site staff. And response to your questions aren't very timely. That said, we had no issues. Amenities are nice. The property is well-kept, very clean and new smelling. And nice eye-catching addition is the small art gallery that is right off the lobby.
Oh, and parking, while complimentary, is a block and a half away. Not far but not on site.
This is actually the first hotel review I’ve ever written even though i travel 3-5 times a year—and I felt it was warranted.
I travel often and usually stay at 4-star hotels or better, so I tend to have pretty high standards. This property exceeded expectations. It was extremely clean, very well managed, and everything felt thoughtfully maintained.
Don’t be alarmed that there’s no traditional front desk. They provide a phone number and email, and they are incredibly responsive—honestly more attentive than many staffed desks I’ve encountered.
I had seen a few comments about the bathroom not being private, but there is a curtain that fully blocks visibility. If you want extra privacy, you can easily turn on the TV or ask your guest to step out—there’s a comfortable lobby area available as well.
The property also felt very safe. There is parking available—while it’s off-site, it’s an easy 3–5 minute walk. There’s also a convenient loading/unloading area right in front of the hotel, so you can drop off your bags before parking.
The location is hard to beat—about a 3–5 minute walk to the Santa Fe Plaza, restaurants, and major tourist spots.
Overall: clean, well-run, responsive, safe, and perfectly located. Highly, highly recommend.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance of “Old Town Santa Fe.” While there was a very nice lady in the gallery in the building that helped me, the check in was somewhat confusing. Parking was four blocks away and there was only one on-street loading and unloading spot. When I tried to enter the parking garage, my parking garage card did not work. I traveled back to the hotel, the gallery lady helped me call someone from the hotel. I got another card, drove back, parked and walked back. A reception free Check in is ok, until something goes wrong. All that said, would I stay there again…probably, but I would check around first.
