"The internal communal areas of the hotel itself are in a bit of a time warp: there is carved dark wood everywhere, cutesy figures and brown striped sofas that look from another age. This may be the reason that it draws a predominantly (or at least when I was there) older clientele. My goodness though everything is spotlessly clean, very spacious and the breakfast is exceptional. Outside by contrast the beautiful and expansive pool area, with upper level chill out lounge, seems very modern and fresh and was a very pleasant area to relax in. Although the hotel was 80% full there was lots of capacity. Rooms are very large with generous balconies. The bathroom, again spotless, was huge - good quality shower gel provided but no shower caps or other sundries and the shower itself was quite old fashioned but worked well and lots of hot water. The hotel seemed very quiet - I think a lot of guests go out on excursions in the day and (again maybe the age group) there was hardly anyone around at night although entertainment seems to be regularly organised. I saw one act giving its all to only about 10 people. All in all, a lovely hotel with a very serene vibe. Not for the party people, but I liked it!"

"I booked this for the spa, soaking tub in room. However, both were dirty and the overall impression was this hotel is not well maintained and I did not feel ok using either. The staff was helpful and friendly and the only upside. This hotel is overpriced, food is bad and not clean. I want a refund."

"Clean small room but overlooking a large building site so had to upgrade at a cost to us to prestige room on other side of hotel, the beach was also a mess it looked tatty and neglected, hotel itself is nice but very much let down by this building work "

"This hotel is pretty good, the location is great with a few small restaurants and bars nearby which are worth a visit. Rooms are adequate and pretty comfortable though if you book the suite option, it really isn't at all. The staff were mostly good. The food was utterly atrocious. Many people were complaining about the bland, non-seasoned, offerings and the 'chefs' were not interested. The food felt cheap and there was not enough of it. Deserts were clearly all out of a box and pretty rough. Salads were pretty good. Drinks were good with branded options available for the AI. The one thing that I find unbelievable is that water is not included on the AI. If I want unlimited vodka or gin, that's fine but water was a no go. I find this appalling especially in a hot climate. Will not return."

"Hotel had just opened after the winter break, everything was clean and tidy. There weren't many guests this weekend and staff were finding their way around. All the staff we came into contact with were very good. great hotel and great location would always look this hotel up if we return to this area."
