We loved our stay! The place is lovely and charming. Our room was clean, spacious and very pleasant. It was furnished tastefully and consistent with the overall "English Cottage" style of the place. They serve breakfast, cookies late morning, hors d'oeuvres in the evening - everything is tasty fresh and plentiful. We will definitely be back.

Such a cute spot, staff was friendly and helpful. They have a pretty good happy hour wine and snacks. Breakfast looks really good but we got up too early to make it each morning since it's served at 8am. About 1.5 miles from downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

Best California hotel experience I’ve had. The property is secluded due to the surrounding hedges. True hospitality and timeless coziness. Great place to relax during any kind of weather. The wrap around porch is really special. I didn’t like the gas fire place as it made my whole room smell like gas and was scary to light. I wish the curtains in the main house had full privacy. I recommend staying here to any couple.

The Simpson House Inn is an absolutely beautiful property! The breakfast was fabulous and I was able to sit by the fire and work all morning. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The whole house is absolutely beautiful and so restful. Just came in from sitting outside in the lawn as the weather is beautiful. I highly recommend the property. I will definitely be back with my husband next time.

Amazing stay at this beautiful property. Incredible service and hospitality—from afternoon lemonade and iced tea with pastries to happy hour Hors d'oeuvres and wine, to evening cookies and tea to a deliciously cooked gourmet breakfast—we loved it all. We have been to the Simpson House Bed & Breakfast before. The staff is always superb and attentive. The grounds are always beautiful, the location is perfect, closed to the SB Bowl and downtown. The only disappointment this time was the breakfast, it tasted great but compare to our last visits, it sure suffered from ‘shrinkflation’….

Very nice small B&B centrally located. Great atmosphere and efficient staff. 5 PM small bites and wine really nice. Sitting on the porch looking at landscaped yard was sooo nice!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Simpson House Inn. It was clean, charming, and beautiful, and we loved our private wrap-around terrace off the Robert & Julia Simpson room. The view of the manicured garden with high hedges and the sound of the trickling fountains below were relaxing. We visited our son at UCSB and spent an easy Saturday with him walking to Mission Santa Barbara, back to the inn for a break and fresh scones, a walk to tour the SB Courthouse, and then, a walk back to the inn for delicious Happy Hour hours d’oevres. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor common spaces—particularly the library and fireplace—which were never crowded even though the inn was sold out. The house and grounds were so lovely, and the staff was friendly and helpful while also allowing us privacy. We don’t usually love B&Bs, but we look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it.

Simpson House Inn is a unique property. We stayed in the Garden Room which was private and comfortable. The Gardens are wonderful and very relaxing. Fresh baked afternoon scones and later appetisers were delicious and unexpected. Home cooked breakfast was also excellent and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. Safe parking on site. We will return.
