Great non-assuming clean, safe & budget friendly!

My title pretty much says it all ! If you're looking for a five star resort this isn't it. But if you want a place to rest for the night that's safe, clean and budget friendly this is it ! I'm definitely staying here on my next visit.

Clean and safe

This was a nice place in a closed gated area. Room was clean and comfy. Had a small balcony. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Can’t see the water from the room but it’s 3 minute walk to the water and restaurants.

Central, safe hotel with good staff, good value.

I enjoyed staying here. The location is central in Bayahibe which means it's very convenient to everything, though also gets some street noise (e.g., motorcycles) and quite a bit of evening music from nearby buildings, so just be aware of that if you want to go to bed early. (Sundays are especially noisy until late.) I felt safe in the neighborhood and liked the extra safety of the front gate. The owners and other staff are very accommodating and eager to make it a great experience for guests, and the cleaning team works very hard and is quite thorough. The apartments were a bit dated (dark, heavy window dressings and dark paneling) but spacious and comfortable, and it was good to have access to a mini-fridge, silverware, and burners. I initially had a room on the first floor but then moved to the second floor and this was much better--a lot more private, with better breezes and slightly better noise control. There is a very sweet cat that came to visit me frequently, which I loved. The morning fruit and coffee, often with a freshly made cake or muffins, was a great addition. The price seemed very reasonable and I was able to pay by credit card without a giant extra fee, which I very much appreciated.

Bayahibe è un piccolo villaggio grazioso e sicuro. Villa baya è ubicata in un posto dove non serve l'auto, è tutto vicino. Ha un giardino, acqua calda, la camera e il terrazzo sono abbastanza grandi. Il gestore Mariano è molto gentile e disponibile, per qualsiasi problema rivolgetevi a lui che vi aiuterà volentieri. GRAZIE MARIANO Da qui si va a Saona e con il guagua in pochissimo tempo si va alla spiaggia libera di Domenicus che è molto carina,con un bel mare per nuotare.

Beautiful property, I really loved this place! Very close to town, lovely proprietor, friendly cat, excellent fruit and coffee for breakfast. I loved our veranda, great place to sit in the shade or watch the storm.

Excellent value for money

Good location, walking distance to the beach. Gated hotel with parking within metres of your room. We upgraded to a one bedroom room which have a kitchen with full size fridge. Four burner counter top for cooking, coffee maker, pots, plates, cups, utencils, etc. Good variety fruit plate and coffee/tea for breakfast. Friendly, helpful hostess, satellite TV with English news channels and very good WIFI. Several small grocery stores close by including one across the street. Jumbo supermarket located in La Romana, about 20-25 minute drive. Bank machine is a 5 minute walk.

The hotel area and room were very clean for Dominican standards. The breakfast was a little bit too small but still very tasty. The receptionist was very nice but unfortunately, not able to speak a single word in English, which is very common in Dominican Republic but still made communication very hard.

If you want a really cute place to stay, this is the place. It's very secure and gated. Also, you'll love Miriam who takes care of everything!! If the owner is reading this, you have a gem in her. The address you have is wrong. I only found it by looking at the map, ignoring the written address. It is in Bayahibe, not in San Rafael del Yuma. Three minutes walk to the harbor / beach. Lots of restaurants. Italians dominate among foreign tourists. Good place for relaxing, or as a base for going diving. Very nice apartments, better environment than most places there. A/C in bedroom only but 2nd and 3rd floors have an ocean breeze.
