Very Good

Clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. AC not loud. We got 2 queen bed bay view room on second floor. Had a good sleep. Plenty of towels supplied. The only draw back is no microwave in the room. Not sure if they have one in the lobby since we did not check. Parking space is limited. Would come back again.
The location was excellent, right next to the marina, which was a major plus. Unfortunately, the room itself was a bit beat up. There was paint chipping off the walls, and the TV was mounted at an awkward angle.
The biggest issue was the bed. It was completely uneven, with one side sitting at least 6 inches higher than the other, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were also unusually small.
Overall, the location was great, but the condition and comfort of the room left a lot to be desired.
The room was clean and staff were able to accommodate an early check-in. The bed was very soft (a little too soft for my liking).

Liked: Cleanliness
Room was clean and staff was helpful. Fridge in the room was convenient. Nice access to the harbor and surrounding area. Mattress could have used an upgrade but it was comfortable enough. I can see why it would be popular with fisherman. Very basic, nothing fancy but the room was decent. Recommend for a quick weekend trip near the water or just explore the area.
I had to be down in San Diego for a family party -- If I was disappointed, it was only because I stayed down the street another time and I loved it, but this was half the price. This felt like a small place that someone actually cared about. The one man I dealt with - Dougie - was very helpful. It was good for the price.
The employee at the front desk didn't acknowledge me even though I was standing in front of him and I was the only one in the lobby. When he finally did greet me, he sounded inconvenienced. I based this reservation off of the Expedia listing and I was greatly disappointed. The room was in disrepair and dirty. The entry door had a gap so large that you could see into the hallway. The fact that the housekeeping supply and laundry was next door didn't help. Every time an employee walked by or spoke, it was as if they were inside our room. The furniture was worn and a foot stool was actually torn. The walls and trim were scraped up and missing paint. The shower/bath had paint hanging from the ceiling. Finally, the internet and TV reception kept cutting out. I contacted Expedia immediately after seeing the room and demanded a refund for the next two nights of our 3 night stay. Expedia had to contact the property to request the refund which we did receive but it took several days. This property seemed like a seedy motel and not a property that Expedia should be advertising with an 8.6 rating.
This is our first time staying at the Sea Harbor Mottel and wow what a great experience. We’re having very accommodating staff everyone’s very nice we’ve met everybody Raul we met Mia. I may be not mentioning a couple names. I forgot but everybody’s been really great. They have a nice pool open till 10 o’clock at night very refreshing great location walk right to Mitch‘s right on the water there fantastic. Good price will be staying again Bd recommending this place to our friends.
For the money and the location, the Sea Harbor Hotel was perfect for us. It is clean, comfortable, close to the airport, and adjacent to the scenic San Diego fishing harbor. There are excellent eating spots within walking distance (Point Loma Seafood, Mitch's, Miguels, among others). There is also a very good local craft brewery just steps away (Eppig Brewing). There is easy access to Interstates 5 and 8, and downtown San Diego is short (and scenic) drive away. We stayed 7 nights, and we would definitely stay again.
This is a modest property - an old style hotel with room doors opening directly to the outside - but the rooms are big enough to be comfortable; the pool area is small but very nice. The housekeeping staff came every day and tidied up the room. One tip: I'd recommend requesting a room on the second floor, which is quieter. We originally had a room on the first floor, and a very noisy, large family group was staying in multiple rooms above us. We requested a room change to a second-floor room away from the noisy family, and the hotel immediately relocated us - great customer service which we appreciated.
I recommend this hotel based on my recent stay. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed provided exceptional comfort, allowing for a fantastic night of sleep.
This hotel is a classic 1950’s style hotel that has been refurbished. The rooms are small but clean. Our only complaint about the hotel is the bed. The bedding was clean, but the bed was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for us both. The staff was kind. The hotel was clean. The parking lot was extremely small and crowded which makes parking a full size truck a bit of a challenge. The location of the hotel couldn’t be any better as it sits right next to Point Loma Seafood and some incredible walks.
the check in was great the parking was not so great big vehicles parked crooked and in some case over the line made it almost impossible to fit in spot also roofers had most of the spots taped off and blocked all the free spots very frustrating as we werent the only ones with the parking dilema aside from that not a bad place to stay
Place and location were great! Do not stay on the first level with children above your room. The ceiling was very thin and the kids continuously ran across the floor and jumped off the bed over and over again. We asked for a room switch immediately but could not be accommodated, however the front desk said they would call and let the guests above us know how loud it was. The second night was even worse. Balcony door opening and closing, chair rolling back and forth and kids stomping nonstop. At 10:15pm we called the front desk. They put a call in again, however this time the noise went on until after 11:00pm, dropping things so loudly. When the kids jumped off the bed, it would shake the floor and feel like they were coming through the ceiling.
The location is great, beach and back deck were so relaxing, our room was quite the opposite. At one point we considered sleeping on the lounge chairs on the deck.
