Cheap. Noisy. Good setting, handy for the ferry, nice exterior and lakeside garden. Manegeress heloful, but bathrooms need complete refurbishment. Hot water only available certain hours, toilet didnt work properly, very grubby bath and tiles, old towels, basic rooms (not suoerior as advertised, no robes, not toiletries), and no coathangers...changing rooms made no difference...checked out early.
Ligging: prachtig!
I have nothing good to say about this hotel. The staff are dishonest liars who are happy to cheat customers out of their money, and then lie to your face when you try to complain.
I knew I was arriving late at lake toba and would miss the last ferry to the island, so I searched under hotels in PARAPAT and booked this hotel from that listing. However, when I arrived at 1am after a 4hr drive from the airport I was told my booking was for a different hotel that was on the island and that I would have to pay again! They told me the other hotel was a different company with different management. This was a lie as I later discovered when I went to the other hotel to speak with the manager, who mysteriously was never available to talk to me. It is, in fact, the very same company, but they do not want to pay twice for 2 listings online and are happy for customers to pay twice for their terrible rooms instead. They admitted that my booking 'error' has been made before. A complete con. Zero concern for customer service.
The room itself was horrible, with a stench of sewage coming from the open bathroom, and the basin and mirror were disgustingly dirty, like they had never been cleaned. I had no choice but to stay there as it was the middle of the night. The breakfast that is included is an absolute joke. Worst hotel experience ever, during 5 months of travelling through Asia.
3 overnatninger tabt, pengene spildt.
The view from the hotel was beautiful, but the room itself was not in the cleanest condition. The hotel staff were friendly, but had to be approached for assistance and/or with a question
Place is serene and beautiful, very cold in the early morning. Beautiful sunset over Danau Toba. No internet, handphone nor TV. Enjoy the scenery.
The downside is the hotel needs major renovation on the toilets.
I booked for one night stay at this hotel through expedia, and extended for another night because I loved it so much. I wish I could stay longer. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel has great potential.it has beautiful grounds and every room has a great view of the lake.It will look great with renovation.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort

We read reviews on trip advisor and was expecting somewhere very nice. This hotel is very run down. The staff, although eager to help, weren't really sure what to do. The first room we were shown was very dirty so we moved. The sheets still had lots of marks onion the second room due to being very old. The 'view' from the balcony is obstructed by very tall tres so that nothing can be seen. There was no hot wat the 2 days we stayed despite that there was supposed to be hot water between certain hours of the day. Their rates for motorbikes are more expensive too - we got ours elsewhere. You can get better, cheaper rooms in tuk tuk.
The room was really clean but no air-con so it was a bit hot in the evening time.
The hotel had own pier that was comfortable when you going in and out of Samosir island.
Many restaurants were nearby the hotel just walking in distance.
All in all , I recommended this hotel.
Very cheap and clean hotel.
