Good central location in Salzburg.

Stayed in standard room which we found to be constantly hot and ensuite to be extremely small and awkward to use- Room No.301 to be avoided.Told by receptionist that all standard rooms are similar,would suggest superior room necessary for comfort.

Great location in the old city

The Hotel Elefant is in a great location in the old city. We stayed one night, and it was the perfect place for us. We enjoyed walking the streets, hiking up to the amazing views on the ridge/mountain above the old city, visiting churches and museums, and eating delicious food. The room was comfortable and snug, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious. They showed us how to catch the bus to the airport at the end of our stay.

Great location in the old city.

I was in room 505 which faces the front of the hotel and the street. I can see that it might be noisy during peak tourist season, but it did have air conditioning which could off set any noise. I was there end of June and it was fine. Only complaint - the bed was too soft and the pillow too hard. Recommend that they change them.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the old town

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of the old town but also very close to the river and easy to get to the other side of the city. We had a superior room that was large and also had a sofa as well as a large bed. The bathroom was large too. Although the room was only on the 2nd floor and facing the road it was very quiet. The air con was a bonus too. The staff were all excellent and very friendly and helpful. My only minor critisism was that the hot food at breakfast was often only lukewarm but generally the breakfast was ok. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Zentrales Stadthotel

Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und können sagen: Zentraler geht es nicht. Grad um die Ecke ist Mozarts Geburtshaus und auch der Salzburger Dom. Das ist allerdings auch mit Lärmbelästigung in der Nacht verbunden. Durch die engen Gassen hallt es besonders laut, wenn nachts die Leute herum grölen. Das Fenster sollte man daher besser schließen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber auch sehr klein. Wenn man allerdings wie wir nur zum Schlafen im Zimmer ist, geht es. Die Matratzen sind bequem. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und gut, wenn auch nicht überragend. Das angeschlossene Restaurant bietet gute Speisen zu einem fairen Preis. Ich kann dieses Hotel empfehlen und würde es auch wieder buchen.

Charming hotel excellent location

Everything was wonderful. The room was spacious and the extra pull out sofa bed was convenient. The breakfast was delicious and the staff and dining area was lovely. I hope I get a chance to return some day.

Great find in Salzburg!

Booked thie Hotel Elefant in Salzburg and was very pleased with the hotel. The location is excellent, right in the center of the old city in the foot traffic only area. The Hotel is nice and the view from our room was great-a very nice view of the Salzburg Castle. The breakfast was very good. If you are arriving by car, it is a few block walk to the nearest parking garage. We took the long route on arrival, not knowing the way very well, as Salzburg streets in the area surrounding the hotel are currently under construction, I will plan to stay here again on my next visit to Salzburg.

Changed Plans to Stay Longer

Initially I was annoyed that it was so hard to get into this hotel from the parking lot. (It's longer than the 5 mins, especially when you drag roller luggage over cobblestone.) However, once you arrive it's all worth it. The hotel is charming and fashionable, clean and comfortable, and is in a perfect location. I appreciated all the little extras worked in the furnishings of the rooms; side tables with reading lamps, hidden drawers, etc... Even the hallways were well decorated and comfortable! Two choices for inhouse restaurants. The only other negative was that in my room the internet connection wasn't fantastic.

狭い部屋が嫌だったので、スーペリアのダブルベッドルームを予約し事前にメールで確認したにも関わらず、ベッドはダブルだったがとても狭い部屋に通された。満室で変更不可といわれたが、3泊するので翌日別の部屋にかわったが、インテリアはスーペリアのものではなかった。問い合わせたら「部屋の料金が違う」とのこと。

Perfect location

Perfect location in the middle of the city ! I asked for a silent room, which I got. The only noice was coming from the next door in the middle of the night, when someone took a shower and went to the toilet. No noice from the street. TV was really small. Only couple english channels. Breakfast was good. The other guests has said that staff was nice, but I did not find the staff very friendly. They were ok, but nothing special.

ザルツブルグの象ホテル

2015年3月に家内と１泊しました。ザルツブルグ旧市街でリーズナブルなホテルを探していて行き当ったのですが、ここにして大正解でした。 旧市街の真ん中にあり、（それ自体が小さい町ですが）全ての名所には徒歩で行けます。心配していた駅からのアクセスもトロリーバスで数停留所と、全く問題有りませんでした。 ホテルの入り口にはシュタイフの大きな象の人形、フロントの隣には大きな象のモチーフ、ホテルの看板も象、併設レストランのナプキンも象と、象好きにはたまらないでしょう。こういう何かをモチーフにしたホテルというのは、オーナーのこだわりが感じられてとても好印象です。（恐らくですが、家族経営なのかもしれません。） 部屋がやや狭かったのは残念でしたが、それを補って余りあるホテルでした。お勧めします。
