great hotel for the price

El jardin is a good clean hotel close to the main square in Salento. The rooms have shared balconies looking out to gardens and the hills outside the town. The breakfast is very good and we found the hotel to be excellent value for money.

A little piece of paradise

I was so surprised when arrived - it’s a little piece of paradise. Beautiful property, breakfast was great and Salento is superb.

Beautiful place! Lovely young staff. It bothered us that a lady named Andrea was mistreating Natalia, a young counter girl. She was offensive to her in front of us and Natalia was doing the best she could.

3 jours dans ce sympathique petit hôtel. Chambre satisfaisante avce une jolie vue. Petit déjeuner très satisfaisant. Seul petit bemol: eau chaude au débit plus que faible. Ce n'est pas très agréable quand les nuits peuvent être plus fraîches. Malgré cela, séjour très agréable.

The hotel is beautiful with its colour and typical Colombian architecture. The surroundings are very pleasing and peaceful. The amenities would benefit from a little upgrade though. The bathroom is very basic. The personal was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good.

It is a beautiful property just off the main square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with many different options. The hotel itself is beautiful with flowers everywhere. The hotel had hot water and good water pressure. Highly recommend this hotel for your trip.

Good stay for the $

Very colorful hotel just blocks away from the main plaza in Salento. Our room was at the bottom where we appreciated the silence, especially at night, but the wifi signal was weak. Also, our room did not come with a TV (receptionist confirmed that all of the rooms do not have TV) which did not bother us because we were not there to watch TV. Breakfast was good; and was especially taken by their empanadas which is a delicatessen in Colombia, but most hotels don't offer.

good quality for cheap price!

The property is very nice and colorful located just 2 minutes walk from Salento main square. Room was very new and cleaned. The property is surrounded by a lush and peaceful environment, very relaxing! Because of the way the property is structured, rooms can enjoy a shared balcony where you can enjoy the views. Breakfast was good, with lot of delicious fresh fruits. Staff was warming and helpful.

Cute building and friendly staff

Cute building painted in various mind lifting colours, great view overlooking the greenery. The hotel is located near the town square making it a convenient and safe spot. The only thing I want to comment on is that there is no adequate room to get changed and leave your stuff if you arrive before check in.

Aging, Poorly Maintained Property

Email confirmation says checkout is at 1PM, but discovered last minute that it was 11AM instead. The staff were great and allowed us to checkout at 1PM since no one was checking in after us, but unnecessarily stressful. We stayed in the Suite which is separate from the main building, so I cannot comment on the condition of regular rooms. However, ours looked heavily trafficked - sockets were missing, there were nails in the wall where pictures must have been located at some point, scuff marks all over the walls, and just thoroughly warned down. The sheets may have been clean, but they were so discolored we didn't even want to touch them. It obvious this place must have been nice at some point, but the owner completed stopped maintaining this property and allowed it to fall into disrepair.

Great hotel with charm and character to the point of roosters “singing” at 5 am !chatming view and room was clean and comfortable ! Breakfast is very basic but there is always fresh fruit and good coffee!

Central but peaceful

Lovely hot shower (after 3 days hiking it was just the best), comfortable bed, good breakfast, beautiful setting - and I liked the seats on the balcony to just sit and relax. Definitely recommend.
