The Château de Colombier fits the bill for a charming and romantic country getaway that is entirely authentic to the area. Run by a beautiful, generous couple that make you feel at home from the instant you arrive, you feel as though you are a member of the family and a welcome house guest. Highly recommend on all levels.

Certainly a different greeting! But an excellent bedroom and beautiful bathroom, but without toilet. a shared toilet was nearby although we were lucky no one else was staying

Beautiful chateau run by charming hosts

This is a really lovely place to stay, it's beautiful and the hosts couldn't have been kinder. I realised I would arrive quite late and so rang to apologise and ask where I could eat locally. Jean who spoke great English rang the local Italian restaurant and made sure they'd be open. My meal there was simple, huge and delicious! I arrived at the chateau in the dark, it was easy to find with a sat nav and I was greeted by my hosts who were charming. The room was huge, nicely decorated, with a lovely ensuite bathroom and - french style - had a separate loo in the corridor, I thought this might be problem but it wasn't. Breakfast was delicious with croissant, brioche and homemade jam. This was a charming place and has such lovely owners, they couldn't have been more helpful! Lovely views and a tennis court. A great find!

Toilet var ude på gangen, ikke super praktisk. Dog var der et toilet til hvert værelse. Man må ikke indtage mad og drikke på værelset, hvilket vi var lidt kede af. Men super service, og flot beliggenhed

A piece of history. 18th Century Chateau in middle of Beaujole wine region. Wonderful hosts. Comfortable. Well equiped. Highly recommended. We'd stay there again.

De gastheer was uiterst gedienstig, raadde ons en reserveerde voor ons restaurants aan die zeer zeer goed van kwaliteit waren en bij prijs. ‘s Anderendaags was dan ook de vraag of alles goed verlopen was en was hij bekommerd dat hij ons geen kat in een zak had verkocht Niets positief

Très bel accueil dans ce magnifique lieu … Les propriétaires sont très bienveillants. La chambre est refaite à neuf avec le meilleur goût. Une suggestion … les départs à 10;45 c’est un peu tôt surtout le dimanche matin !

Little Slice of Decadence

Beautiful room in a lovely old house, owner couldn't do enough to help us including coming to find us in the centre of Saint-julian when our Sat-Nav let us down. Short drive from Villefranche for dinner and later had a nice walk with our dog in the vineyard, brilliant place for a stopover. Thoroughly recommended.

Absolute aanrader, voor stellen en zakenreizigers.

Dit buitenverblijf, met slechts 2 kamers, is een absolute aanrader voor mensen die de rust zoeken. Ook voor zakenreizigers, die echt even 10 km van de snelweg af durven, om daar hun rust te vinden. Bijzonder aardige mensen, heten u daar van harte welkom. Voor rustzoekers, is het een paradijsje! Ik weet in ieder geval zeker, dat ik bij gelegenheid, daar graag terug kom. Door mijn werk, breng ik in ongeveer 40 nachten per jaar, in verschillende hotels door, maar na 1 nacht hier te zijn verbleven, komt deze, bij mij, op de eerste plaats te staan.
