Would come here again and again

Loved it — it was the perfect getaway, far from the bustle of Cairo and close to nature. The staff was super friendly and considerate during our 3 day stay; particularly kind to the kids too. The beach was clean, calm and sandy with no pebbles or broken shells that could hurt our feet. I was pleased there were lifeguards at both the beach and the at the pools too - jumped in immediately when they thought a girl was drowning (false alarm - she was splashing around, but it was hard to tell). Rooms were super clean; service was in there daily to scrub it from top to bottom -only inconvenience was lack of ventilation in the bathroom, so it was always damp or wet- otherwise rooms were perfectly clean. The biggest upside was also the food; amazing buffet selection and menu changes every day. On our last afternoon, they gifted us with lunch bags on our way out. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, fairly quiet, far from Hurghada tours

The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable enough. The staff are very good. The food is not gourmet, but it is good and there is a lot of selection. The beach is not large, but it is clean and there is lots of shade. The hotel is far from Hurghada, so tours charge €5-10 extra for yeansfers, and you spend a lot of time travelling. This resort caters mostly to German families.

Lärm vor dem Fenster veranlassten uns tätig zu werden. 14 Tage hätten wir dies sicher nicht ausgehalten. Der anschließend Umzug in einen der Bungalows mit Meerblick war dann ein Glücksumstand und ging völlig in Ordnung. Allerdings haben wir uns oft für unsere Landsleute (Ü 60) im Hotel geschämt. Da werden die Liegen bereits am Vorabend reserviert, Deutschlandfähnchen gehisst oder das Personal nicht gerade nett behandelt.

Das Hotel war in Ordnung. Grundsätzlich sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Die Zimmer waren sauber und aufgeräumt allerdings waren die Zimmer eher klein und nicht so wie auf den Bildern, wir hatten im Badezimmer ganz viele kleine Ameisen welche aus dem Waschbecken kamen das Badezimmer im allgemeinen ist sehr kleine und stickig da man nur ein sehr kleines Fenster hat unser Badezimmer Fenster war dann auch noch direkt vor dem Eingang unseres Zimmernachbarn. Es hat viel Auswahl an Essen das konnte man sicher nicht bemängeln allerdings hatte ich mir wie auch weitere Gäste mit denen wir gesprochen hatten sich den Magen verdorben.

Super Hotel

Ich war zum 2. mal dort. Dieses Hotel hat viele Stammgäste, was für sich spricht. Ich werde auch einer. Aber das nächste mal werde ich mein eigenes Kopfkissen mitnehmen. Die Kopfkissen waren mir zu hart, man wollte mir helfen, aber leider nur mit einer leeren Kopfkissenhülle. Schnorcheln und Ausflüge sind ein Traum.

Ce séjour au Sol y Mar pour la plongée sous-marine mérite une mention particulière : belle situation, bien entretenu. Les chambres ont un peu vieilli, mais les buffets à volonté méritent particulièrement le détour. Excellent rapport qualité - prix.

Es hat uns dort sehr gefallen. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Die Verkäufer für Spa , Ausflüge u.s.w. waren am Strand manchmal schon sehr aufdringlich und störend. Sie haben uns sogar geweckt, wenn wir dösten. Viele Stammkunden waren dort, was ja auch für sich spricht. Meine Tochter und ich werden vielleicht auch welche. Wir weden dort wieder Urlaub machen. Das steht fest.

Älteres Hotel an einem schönen Sandstrand

Bin alle 2 Jahre in diesem in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Kann an nichts mäkeln. Preis - Leistung sehr gut. Man findet auch nach 4 Wochen immer abwechslungsreiches und frisches Essen. Als alleinreisende Frau ist man vor anzüglichem Gerede/Gesten sicher. Freundlichkeit und Höflichkeit aller Mitarbeiter lobenswert. Alle sind immer am putzen. Sicher kann man sich über die einfache Einrichtung, alte Fernsehgeräte, Strandliegen die sehr abgenutzt sind mokieren, aber bitte dabei auch auf den Preis achten, den man dafür zahlt.

O mobiliário e todo o espaço é muito velho e com muito desgaste. Tivemos de pedir para mudar roupa da cama porque tinha cabelos e estava suja. A internet não funciona. A comida é muito pouco variada e de qualidade muito baixa. Ao meio dia um empregado bate à porta do quarto exaltado a perguntar se havia algum problema, a conferir o frigo bar e perguntar porque ainda lá estávamos, quando já estávamos a fechar as malas e o hotel só com 2 ou 3 casais. Um desastre! Péssimo

The exellent hotel for relax

It was 7th vacation in Egypt for our family, and It was the best! Never in my life before I met SO friendly staff - it was like visit to old friend or relatives! Room-cleaning was good, fast and always in-time (sometimes it was just unbelievably!), comfortable mattresses (I have problem in my back.. so, it's important for me), no mosquitoes in room. Very good food: I could give everything to my kid while she is allergic! If you like spicy food - you always can add a variable too. Very beautiful sand beach with clean water and a few fish (good for us, we aren't snorkers). Architecture of hotel is very well thought out: short distance from room to beach, restaurant, playground, amphitheatre, bar. The rooms is right-oriented (no sun in afternoon, no neighbor's disturb). What is more Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach has a very good price-quality balance :) It's not luxury, but it's very-very good for family relax in lovely friendly atmosphere! We usually prefer to visit a new hotel every vacation, but Sol Y Mar Paradise Beach is the first hotel that I'm going to return! A lot of thanks and best wishes for staff and managment!

Familiäres Hotel mit super Service

Der erste Eindruck war leider ohne Wow-Effekt. Aber auf den zweiten Blick handelt es sich um ein liebenswürdiges Hotel mit super nettem Personal. Essen schmeckte sehr gut, wurde leider nach einer Woche vom Würzen der speisen eher eintönig. Die Sauberkeit war im Zimmer super. Nichts zu bemängeln. Ich würde wieder hinfahren ;)

hôtel rapport qualité prix hors norme

jJai séjourné au Sol y Mar en voyage plongée Je connais parfaitement Safaga mais je n'étais jamais descendu dans cet hôtel. Mon constat : près de l"excellence pour la classe de l hôtel (3*) Vrai "all inn" avec cocktails et le reste à volonté. Nourriture variée fraiche, digne d'un 5 étoiles.Service personnalisé. Les chambres certes ne sont pas très grandes et semblent avoir besoin de rénovation mais c est compensé par un service de touts les instants. Par contre je suis parfaitement bilingue anglais et moyenne en allemand et cela aide car peu voir pas de français : j'étais la seule. C'est la "crise" mais cet hôtel a choisi non pas de restreindre ses services (et j'en connais d autres qui le font) mais de mettre le paquet pour fidéliser sa clientèle en lui offrant les meilleurs services. Je repars dans 3/4 mois à Safaga et je pense que ce sera dans cet hôtel. Seul point noir : connexion internet difficile.

Ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen

Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind in der Regel sehr freundlich. Das Essen war in der Regel gut, sehr schön fand ich auch, dass es mindestens ein ägyptisches Gericht gab. Die Kellner waren freundlich und haben uns immer höflich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Hotel müsste meiner Meinung nach dringend renoviert eher saniert werden. So sind die Kühlschränke beim Kühlvorgang im Zimmer ziemlich laut. Die Klimaanlagen in den Zimmern sind sehr alt und sehr laut. Im Sommer hat man dann die Wahl nicht schlafen zu können aufgrund der Hitze oder nicht schlafen zu können aufgrund des Lärms der Klimaanlage.

ok for sun and sand - hard twin only beds

The Sol Y Mar is an aging hotel that needs some care. The beds are only twin and need to be pushed together. They are very very hard. That being said the food was more than adequate, the service friendly and cooperative. Safaga is not much of a town so the beach is really the only attraction. Room was kept clean. Internet is expensive. I would recommend this hotel for a low cost stay with a great beach, friendly staff and few expectations other than sun and sea.

Weihnachten mal anders

Weihnachten einfach einmal die Beine unter den Tisch stecken, mit Freunden ein paar schöne Tage verleben, die Unterwasserwelt erleben und dem allgemeinen Weihnachtsstress entfliehen ... das waren meine Wünsche! Meine Vorstellungen wurden voll erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind vollkommen ausreichend mobiliert, vor allem aber sauber. Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank und Fernsehen (deutschsprachige Sender) sind vorhanden. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag sehr ordentlich gereinigt.
