This property is a scam. We booked and paid for 3 rooms thru Expedia. When we arrived they only have one room for our reservation. They want to push us to stay at their other property. Their other property is dirty and small. We flew thousands of miles to experience a homestay in the beautiful Sapa rice fields. Being weekend all the nice home stays were all booked. We had to hire a taxi to take back into town to find a decent hotel. I have never give any hotel a bad review. I don’t want anyone to have to experience what we went through so I suggest that Expedia remove this hotel from their site.

amazing hospitality!

La Dao was amazing! It is such a gorgeous location and the staff worked hard to please. The only thing to be mindful of is this is NOT near the action in Sa Pa-it is about a 250-300 dong can ride away in ta van which is a long bumpy road to get to. But if you’re looking for a quiet escape it is perfect!

Toller Blick schlechter Service

Der Ausblick ist fantastisch man kann auf seiner eigenen kleinen Veranda den Reisbauern bei ihrer täglichen Arbeit zusehen. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich und überwiegend sauber. Dem Bad merkt man das Alter etwas an und auch das Moskitonetz über dem Bett war schon etwas in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig also sollte man für leise Nachbarn beten die einem nicht die Idylle zwrstören. Das Essen ist okay aber nicht berauschend und dafür relativ saftig im Preis. Der Service ließ leider wirklich zu wünschen übrig. Nach dem Check-in keine Info über Frühstückszeiten oder ähnliches (es gab nämlich kein Buffet sondern man konnte zwischen 4 Gerichten eins auswählen und dazu ein Getränk bekommen, tolles Frühstück) Wir mussten oft lange warten bis wir etwas bestellen konnten obwohl viel Personal und kaum Gäste da waren. Der Pool oder Whirlpool war leider leer als wir dort ware.

Great spa and good food. Only 4 rooms so not crowded. Only problem we had was communicating with the staff as no-one spoke English at all well. It was frustrating as there was either no communication or miscommunication-near impossible to order food for instance. When we arrived and I was trying to find out things to see and do they were more than unhelpful-didn’t offer any ideas...

This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. There is truely only positive things to say. Starting with the amazying bonsai terrace/restaurant, the food, the cofe, the rooms and the amazing spa area. We have enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Fantastisk sted!

Fantastisk smukt sted! Et meget autentisk hotel, i de smukkeste omgivelser! Vi havde en fantastisk hytte, med en meget komfortabel seng og med altan med fantastisk udsigt! Maden var også god og spa’en var fantastisk! Vi fik herbal bath med udsigt til rismarkerne! Kan helt klart anbefales, især efter en Vandretur i området!

Beautiful location... almost like glanmping! Wake up to a valley of local farming village. Beautiful and exquisite spa faciltiies ... couldn’t ask for more! The food for dinner is excellent, although some dishes will need to be ordered in advance. I recommend ordering Ca Kho To, Lau Canh Chua, Com Chien (In Bamboo) when you make a booking. The massage and spa is proper, with girls that know what they are doing. Great for the family or couples. If you are going to Sa Pa stay here! Or at least come dine and experience the spa.

Beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable with amazing views of the terraced rice fields. The staff don’t speak a lot of English so communication can be a bit tricky.

Une vue à couper le souffle. Plus que bien

En fait cette auberge (homestay) est situé dans la vallée de Sa Pa et non dans la ville ce qui est vraiment un avantage , la vue sur les montagnes est tout simplement à couper le souffle. Il sert difficile de juger du service car nous sommes arrivé en plain dans les fêtes de la nouvelle année, l’auberge fonctionnait à 20% au niveau du service et le spa était fermé. Malheureusement llamchambre bien que la vue soit très s belle et que la salle de bain soit bien équippé , les lits sont malheureusement inconfortable, ils auraient avantages à changer les matelas. En résumé npjemrecmmande cette auberge car elle superbement situé, le spa est très beau, c sont juste les matelas qui sont plusmqu'ordinaire mais 50$ la nuit...
