Lovely place to stay , Carol was brilliant, I am vegetarian but she made sure I had a proper breakfast, my husband had a full English everyday which he said was excellent. Room lovely and clean with nice comfortable bed , great shower too . Welcoming couple . Would definitely go back.

Repeat stay at Park Lodge B&B and all great again

This was my second stay and everything was great. Carol welcomed me with a big smile and gave me a nice big room which was really kind with me being a solo visitor.

Really enjoyed my stay here. No complaints - Friendly owners, clean rooms, breakfast was great with lots of choice. About a 20 minute walk down to the centre. Will look here first next time I come to Ryde.

Great place for a comfortable nights sleep

Spotlessly clean and good wi-fi and the lady was very helpful and assisted me to my room by carrying my bag as I use a stick.I would highly recommend it to anyone Very comfortable and the ensuite shower was great as I was very tired after a long drive in very bad weather.I would definitely give it 5 stars and 10/10

The B&B is somewhat dated but the owner was lovely. Nothing a problem. Breakfast very good Room largely clean and shower perfectly adequate. It was a budget stay so I certainly wasn't expecting luxury. That said, I was pleased given the cost and will certainly stay there again!

A short break in Ryde

We decided on a short break on the IOW during Cowes Week using our bus passes rather than drive. Park Lodge has bus stops right outside and they go every 30 mins. It's a short trip down to the Esplanade which is where the buses, ferries, hovercraft and train all meet. Our hosts were very welcoming, our room was very clean and the full English breakfasts were delicious..

Great stay with fantastic hosts

This place shone through because of the owners Carol and Chris. From the moment of check in Carol couldn’t do enough to welcome me and made such an effort at breakfast to accommodate my needs. My room was comfortable and warm and had everything I could need. A little fridge would have been a bonus but with such a fair price I’m definitely not complaining. The location was great too and I was at the beach in no time. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend to others.

Adequate

The Hotel was tired and on an extremely noisy road, double glazing was inefficient. Carol the proprietor fell over herself to be very helpful. Room was clean but facilities were lacking i.e. tiniest tv seen for years needed to sit on top of it i.e. end of bed to see picture. Breakfast was adequate, cereals, yogurt and plenty of toast but full english...nah!! No sausage, no hash browns, no mushrooms, no fried bread, no choice of egg style. Had issues with toilet not flushing several times, unhealthy having to leave overnight full, then mysteriously flushed in morning. Lot of mould in shower and bathroom shelf was never cleaned where there was a daily build up of toothpaste. Bed was never made. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk and 1 small bottle of water daily (bit strange when 2 persons in the room). Sadly, too far out of Ryde town, (area called Elmfield) to walk with so many steep hills a description should have been put on website. Had to do my own homework to find nearest bus route, no wonder very popular with Walkers who all the regular guests were during our stay. Pleasant 10 minute walk down nearby lane to beach at far end of esplanade near Appley Tower.

We had a lovely welcome on our arrival on two days a week apart at the start and end of walking the IoW coast path. We even left a couple of things for the week for safe keeping. Great breakfast and friendly host.

Great hospitality shown to us. Parking at the front, space for 4 cars. It wasn’t busy so we were able to park. Tasty complimentary full English breakfast too!
