Cracking wee pub, the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size well presented, and very tidy. The breakfast was great - thank you

Breakfast not to great . Bad communication around with cutsomers. Car park has a gate what is closed during night and because nobody said anything I hardly manage to drive out early in the morning to reach my flight in time . No acces code was offered . To expensive for location. Rooms are ok and clean , refurbished recently
We had an amazing stay here, upon arrival we noted that there was plenty of available parking spaces and we received a lovely welcome from the staff.
Over the weekend, we often enjoyed a few drinks in the pub as well as a lovely dinner there. We were made to feel very comfortable, welcomed and relaxed at all times.
The food was very good (especially the freshly cooked breakfast made to order).
Many thanks for a perfect stay!
Fantastic property and grounds, friendly staff and a wonderfully modern and clean
furnished room.
I was especially thankful for the Air conditioning given that it was 34 degrees! My only regret is not staying longer but would certainly stay again.
This is a pub rather than a hotel which hotels.com didn't make clear. Check-in - which was simply pushing a card machine in my direction - was at the noisy bar overlooked by drinking punters where there is a warning about drugs and bad behaviour - not the best start to a stay. Was then put on the spot to specify a time for breakfast - said I wasn't sure, especially as the window was small 7:30-9:00am - on a Sunday! Don't expect to relax and have a lie-in. On a positive note the room was pleasant and quiet although quite expensive for what is effectively a pub B&B.
Suited us as going out to friends. Quiet village. Pub dinner menu looked lovely. Very friendly. Rooms are in a courtyard. Our twin was snug but hada desk area and hanging space. The space was well thought out. Breakfast excellent. Full English. Food is local and we saw the pigs and sheep they keep on farm area. Not a hotel. It is a pub / inn with separate courtyard rooms. Staff very obliging and friendly.
This is a delightful Pub with extremely friendly staff. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and because taxis are very scarce they actually took us to the family party we were going to in Melbourn. Would stay again
Amazing, very friendly, wonderful breakfast. Alan went out of his way to help us by driving us himself to a wedding we were attending. Lovely walk by a stream and around the village. Sheep, pigs and hens on the farm. Beautifully kept site. Pub was good too.
Very disappointing stay given so many good reviews
I was quite disappointed with my stay here despite the many excellent reviews. My room was very clean and tidy, decent space, nice bathroom and shower, good Wi-Fi. There was no radiator but the air-con unit went warm and there were two portable heaters in the room, so it was warm enough. My main issues were the amount of light in the room making it very difficult to sleep. I had two large floor-to-ceiling windows, one was the door. The window faced the shop out the back and the door faced the road. There was a curtain which barely covered both large panels of glass, there was so much light coming in from both sides of the room. There was also a bright green light above the door (emergency light, not needed I'm sure) combined with a Wi-Fi access point (router) on the ceiling which also had a bright green light, both of which illuminated the room green when all the lights were turned off, it was very distracting and difficult to sleep. I had to get creative and wedge pillows and towels in the gaps to block out some of the light but the Wi-Fi point was so high up I could not reach. Then in the morning I went to the pub for breakfast but there was no-one there to sit me down and fetch it for me. I stood there for about 10 minutes, one or two staff went by and said hello but didn't ask if I needed again. So I decided to just leave without breakfast. For the money paid I am extremely disappointed and would not stay here again
Flott bed &breaktfast i fin nærhet til Melburn. Sericen var mecet god, og rommet var bra. Minus for at håndkleet på rommet var vått da jeg sjekket inn (var det brukt??) og at det nesten var tomt for toalettpapir.
