The hotel room was very comfortable and of a good standard, also on ground floor which was good for both myself and my husband as not great with stairs,we had to go ask for milk more than once but that’s trivial, rooms were very warm, which was welcomed as was very cold night, so all in all was satisfactory bit chaotic in party venue, but our party ran like prescision clockwork and the food was excellent and hot which I like, some staff were little rude, but most were very attentive, more experienced staff would be good on bar area, because the queues were quite unacceptable but all in all great night, which in some fairness was down to our party organiser who made sure that we were looked after
Somehow managed to get a room about the size of a cricket pitch with four poster bed, sofa, chair, separate bath and shower and two sinks!!
So obviously I am impressed. Everything nice and clean just no soap in bathroom (you only notice when you need it) luckily I had brought my own.
We decided to stay here to save on taxi fares. Didn’t get much of a welcome, on arrival staff were inattentive. Dropped our bag in room which was satisfactory apart from mouldy shower screen & broken soap dispenser & dirty pillow on bed then went to find the bar for a pre party drink then found it didn’t open until 6pm. Went back to room to get ready for the party & got down to venue around 7pm to find there were no drinks available on draught as the gas was off due to a leak. Bottled drinks only which work out far more expensive. Service was very slow in restaurant it didn’t help that we had to order food on the actual evening. Huge gaps between courses & no veg brought out with our main. We had to take from other table as we had two. Got up next morning to find no milk with the tea & coffee facility.

Loud noises until late at night, check in was unbelievably slow, and no staff on check out.
Only staying one night. Nice big room/bathroom and very clean. Staff very helpful. Slight niggles..tv remote not working (batteries?). Radiator needed sorting - all of it was not heating the room. That aside, we’d stay there again, no problem, which is maybe the best measure
I would never stay here again. There wasn't a room when we checked in, then magically one appeared.
The Manager was very abrupt and extremely rude. NEVER AGAIN!!!
My wife and I stayed for one night at this hotel and never again. We nearly didn't get a room as it was over booked and when we did get a room, it must have been one they never use as it smelt of stale cigarettes and was freezing cold. When we got into bed, it was like getting into an ice box. The breakfast was nothing to shout about neither.

Clean rooms & comfy bed
Check in was a shambles. There were 3 members of staff, none of which seemed to know that I had two rooms booked, even though they had phoned the day before to check. On arrival, the room was freezing but it did warm up slowly. The hotel is extremely dated but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. If you need somewhere cheap to stay then it's ok, not special in any way but does the job.
We got there only to be told the hotel was overbooked and they had no room for us.
They found us another hotel 20 miles away..... too far away from the venue we had tickets for.
They offered us the difference in room rates between the 2 hotels and a little towards taxi fare.
Not a happy customer. Not sure who was at fault..... Expedia or the Hotel

Don't ever.....
Booked a family room and ended up with a twin room. Had to have a camp bed for my 8 yr old which made it very cramped. The heating didnt work and the so called family room was directly above the entrance where wedding guests congregated to smoke until the early hours. Couldn't get a drink at the bar because there was a wedding on and the other bar shut at 9.30pm on a saturday! The guy at reception didn't even hint at an apology and clearly didn't care. Worst experience ever and i stay in hotels very frequently for work.
hotel is a little outdated but I have to say the staff group are one of the best I have encountered during all my travelling. that alone would much me choose to stay again
The hotel is fairly easy to find from the Motorway.
On the evening of our stay, the hotel was hosting a fundraising event which meant that even though we were told upon check-in that the restaurant was serving food, when we arrived at the restaurant we were promptly told that it was closed due to their catering for the event.
The room was sufficient for the evening but the noise that was coming from downstairs was intolerable. Ideally, we should have been warned of this event on booking in order to make an informed decision about our stay.

On arrival their was no room
Staff wasn’t interested stated all rooms were booked out for a wedding and said there was nothing they could do about it, we had traveled and paid for the room ; miraculously after demanding to see the manager she gave us someone else’s room who hadn’t arrived yet and said they would sort out them when they arrived .
Also was told that this problem happens regularly.
Air conditioning not working, a wedding booked in and a hot day!
Wedding guests were outside until the early hours, had to have windows open because of lack of air conditioning resulted in very little sleep.
Staff were friendly and helpful especially Jonathan.

Noise levels unacceptable
We stayed for one night which was our third stay in the last 3 months but we will not be returning. There was considerable noise from the reception area, mainly singing, until 1.30am. We phoned the night porter but the phone was answered by one of the revellers so we gave up. The unacceptable noise levels continued for a further hour. We complained as we left and we received an apology and we were told our concerns would be passed to management but no response has been received from them. Why would you stay in a hotel if a decent nights sleep is virtually impossible?
Nice surprise when arrived at hotel as clean premises and lots of parking available. Check in was straightforward and great welcome. Requested for a room on top floor at quiet end of hotel very happy with it. Spacious, king bed and bathroom with separate shower and bathtub.clean and tidy. Onsite restaurant with bar a good variety of food. Went across road to restaurant winebar and impressed with choice of food and drinks available. Would recommend as an option. Location is 28mins from Sheffield city centre. Would consider staying at hotel again.
Very Friendly staff, room and shower great, would suggest letting customers know before they book if there is a wedding reception happening on the date they are booking for, ( very loud )
