Great location, unique property and most importantly excellent service! For a night we were looking for a budget option and just a quiet comfortable bed, we actually had a lot of fun at the Movie Guesthouse. The owner personally accommodated our late and then even more delayed arrival as well as luggage storage the next day so we could explore unburdened before heading on.

Detta hotel hade tydligen stängt för gott i September, så vet inte varför man fortfarande kan boka det. Blev kontaktad av dem en vecka innan vi skulle ditt och blev frågade om det var okej att vi bode på deras systerhotel ( comic geasthouse) istället ditt de förde över alla bokningar. Det hostelet var slitnare en förväntat med bara en toalet och badrum som alla 3 rum fick dela på. Vi hade tur att det inte var fulbelagt annars hade deta blivit ett problem. Kan rekommendera att stanna en natt då det endå var ett häftigt ställe och låg extremt centralt, men om ni ska vara i Rom längre så rekommendera jag att hitta något annat.

Ruhiges und sauberes Gästehaus

Das Gästehaus befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einer Metrostation. Der Eingang ist nicht gleich ersichtlich. Man findet das Haus am besten über die Hausnummer. Die Rezeption war freundlich. Allerdings zahlt man für einen late Check-In nach ca 19.30 uhr einen Aufpreis. Das Gästehaus ist sehr sauber und ruhig. Es gibt gratis Espresso. im Großen und Ganzen empfehlen wir es weiter. The guest house is in close proximity to a metro station. The entrance is not immediately apparent. One finds the house best over the house number. The reception was friendly. However, you pay for a late check-in after 7.30 pm extra charge. The guest house is very clean and quiet. There is free espresso. On the whole, we recommend it.

Central beliggenhed - god til prisen

Bed and breakfast - dog uden breakfast, men supercentralt beliggende, meget tæt på metro og bus og lige ved siden af Piazza del Popolo. Roligt om natten, men lidt støj fredag og lørdag aften. Dog ikke mere, end at lukkede vinduer kunne holde støjen nede. Mange spisemuligheder i lokalmiljøet. Indtjekning uden problemer til trods for, at der ikke var nogen reception. Telefonnummer på værten oplyses, og man ringer bare 10 minutter før forventet ankomst. Det fungerede godt.

Good find

It is a nice place overall, great location. The room was big and movies focused indeed, but the bathrooms were quite small and outdated a bit. Still, I think this guesthouse was a good find for the money and the experience.

Cheap, convenient, with character

Nice place but you do get what you pay for. Ideal for the single traveller on a budget. Maybe not so good for a couple or anyone with kids, where you really should have an ensuite bathroom. On 4 floors up for the street and the old-fashion cage elevator can be fussy so if you can't do stairs not for you. That said, my room had a little balcony with gorgeous view. Owners are available and helpful. Biggest virtue is location--just a couple of minutes walk from Flaminio metro station.

Cheap and convenient

Nice clean hotel. Very close to Plaza de popolo. Within a short walk of tram terminus, buses and Metro station. There is a small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot for guests to use.

피렌체에서 다쳐 다운되었는데 무비 게스트하우스의 영화/만화 세팅의 다다미방과 에스프레소 카페에 기분이 좋아짐. 앞의 Borghese 녹지와 Popolo 광장 바티칸 스페인광장 티베르 강 오가며 있는 주요장소가 걸어서 가능. Kill Bill 컨셉 방에서 Kill Bill 영화를 보고 로마의 휴일을 보며 영화에 나온 장소를 걸어서 확인하는 즐거움아 큼. 산책 후 무한 제공 커피와 차를 마시며 쉬거나 오드리 헵번이 묵었던 근처 장소를 찾는 재미가 각별했다. 이미 흔적은 희미하지만. 넓은 보르게세 공원을 산책하다 스페인 광장의 267년 카페그레코에서 에스프레소 도피오를 먹는 맛은 로마의 휴일의 진수를 느끼게 해줌. 새벽 4시 그리스 이동 택시 서비스도 제공해주고 로마 주요장소를 둘러볼 안내와 위치를 갖춘 최고의 숙소로 적극 추천함

Best Toman holiday place

Best Roman holiday place!! I had an accient at Firenze on my birthday. Although I didn't feel good about my vacance Movieguest made my Roman holiday unforgettable one. Good location, friendly service, imaginative decorations. Borghese park and many places including Vatican, Spagna, Trastever, so on. Also arranged an early shuttle service on 4:15 morning! Thanks a lot Movie Guesthouse.

Güzel deneyim

Konsept güzel, yerli insanların yaşadığı bir apartmanda olması yaşayış biçimini görmek adına keyifliydi. Market, metro ve görülecek yerlere yakın. Lobide kahve, çay gibi sıcak içecekler var kendinize hazırlayıp balkondan şehri izleyebilirsiniz.Asansörü ahşap ve eski tarzda her kullandığımızda mutlu olduk. Keşke temiz de olsaydı, herşey süper olurdu. Odada çarşaflar değişmişti fakat yerler hep tozluydu ve banyo da idare eder bir temizlik yapılmıştı. Çok kalmadığımız için sorun etmedik.

Dishonest staff, unreliable - BAD experience

HORRIBLE experience. The guesthouse rep decided on his own to put me and husband in a room that we did NOT book and pay for. He didn't even inform us that we were given the wrong room until I had to bring it up directly to him via email because he actually left the guesthouse the MINUTE he gave us the keys. We originally booked a room with a restroom ensuite (Simpsons room) but he put us in a room with an external bathroom. I politely asked (again through email because he was NO WHERE to be found) if we could be switched to our original room but he said he could not and was not compassionate that put us the WRONG room, which was noisy and we got poor sleep in. He failed to tell us this up front, did not accommodate us at all, and worst of all, DIDN'T reimburse us. I had to call Hotels.com customer service to intervene and the guesthouse still DID NOT reimburse us. We also planned on leaving our luggage after our check out time because we were leaving Rome later that night, but decided it was not safe to do that as there was nobody at the front desk (like, ever.) This was a horrible experience and I would NEVER recommend anybody stay here. It has a strange set up, it is loud as it is right by the rail tracks and not very comfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear people snoring and talking next door. The towels are old, stiff, and feels like its been used hundreds of times and the bathrooms are mildewy. Only positive thing is that it is close to the metro (5 min walk)

you'll never be able to use the bathroom

Checked in with no problems and were given the Kill Bill room which was fun. As we unloaded our stuff we immediately realized the "bed" was actually a pretty hard futon. In short, sleep wasn't good. The room itself was nicely decorated and clean but every time we used the air conditioner (it was very hot when we visited) the room would get a wet moldy clothes smell to it. The smell was so bad, that upon entering we'd have to plug our noses for a while and open up the window to air everything out. Once the window was open, mosquitos would fly in and buzz around our heads all night (no screen on the window). I'd wake up with at least 3 new mosquito bites every morning. Oh yeah, and did I mention the walls are paper thin? So we could hear all our neighbors coming in and going out. It didn't help that the coffee and mini fridge was placed right at the entrance to our room so people were constantly hovering by our door. Lastly and his might be the worst of it yet, the bathroom situation is HORRIBLE. now I've stayed at my fair share of hostels and hotels where we have to share the bathroom with other guests but this was ridiculous. There are two bathrooms side by side in the hall and 5 rooms. Each room hosts at least 2 people (maybe more in some). Two of the days we stayed at the hotel one of the bathrooms was "reserved" although the front desk said we would have access to both. 8 people to one bathroom that has no lock. yeah it didn't work and ended up creating animosity.

Great location!

Super location for walking to all the tourist sites. On arrival you need to go in the green doors, then through a door on your right and then in the lift to the fourth floor! Which is all fine but I would have like to know before I arrived. Transfer from/to airport worked well. Lots of eating options close by. Loved sitting in Popolo square with our gelato every day. Guest house has fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities for guests to use, grocery type shops nearby. Best days were into Villa Borghese area, Vatican and Colosseum - get there early to avoid queues.

Chambre près du métro et du centre

Movie guest house est au 4eme étage d'un immeuble, on y accède avec un vieil ascenseur. Il y a de quoi se faire du café et du thé dans l'entrée. Nous étions dans la chambre Simpsons avec sdb privée très propre et fonctionnel. Cependant comme c'est dans un appartement on entend les voisins de chambre entrer et sortir. Sinon très bon séjour
