Every staff is so friendly and willing to help. Location is perfect for sightseeing Vatican and St.Angelo. Although I stayed in a shared room with 6 persons, it was very safe and comfortable. Please be noted you need to check in before 21:00 as they will need to close the building door. Or you will need to make a phone call in case if you will be late. There are plenty of delicatessens and convenience stores nearby which is really helpful for tight budget trip. Not suitable for those who want 3 star hotel cleanliness, in which case you should stay at a 3 star hotel.
Located just between the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo, it's a convenient place to base a trip in Rome. I was able to walk to all parts of the city without a problem and the area has a lot of good places to eat. The apartment was nice with a shared patio area and an iron gate for added security. I woke up early to get around the city before most tourists were out and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee on the patio while listening to the birds singing. Very serene and lovely place to stay.
Vatican a supply of Gods Almighty power. Fantastic trip. Life changing. Any rooms available by the month? I have 750US dollars n looking to stay a year or more.
Thx

I had a reservation for 5 nights at Finestra di Luz, but my plane arrives after 8 pm and the check-in was not possible so late. Then the hotel proposed me to find another hotel just for the first night, and I accepted with gratitude. BUT when I arrived in Roma, Finestra di Luz send me a message to explain that all my nights have been cancelled and that I have to go in another hotel nearby. The problem is that this new hotel was just disgusting: very old, dirty, with no hot water in the morning, deficient wifi, broken coffe machine and least but not last very expansive for this crap (100 euros a night). A real shame!

Disliked: Room comfort
Shabby but not Chic
Overall the pictures made it seem like a cute tucked away Roman B&B, but instead it was just a dark room tucked in the ground floor of a large apartment complex. It was perfectly clean and central if you’re looking for a bed and shower, this place is perfectly fine for a quick stay. The decor and amenities were definitely shabby, but not chic. I would have liked a more authentic Italian experience personally. The price could have been lower for what we got.
Let's start with the very few good parts. The guy at the desk named Jason, who's originally from Colombia, is awesome. He is a sincerely friendly guy who did everything he could to make everyone's stay there better, from taking time to offer insider advice about Rome to fixing everything wrong in the room. The hostel is also in a pretty good location.
Unfortunately, I can not recommend staying here. The shower flooded every time that someone used it. And I mean flooded, as in overflowing the bathroom floor into the hallway. The bathrooms have no locks. My flight landed three hours late, so I didn't arrive at the hostel until 9pm. The hostel hadn't send me the promised "special instructions", and I did not have an EU phone to call. Finally, a waitress at a nearby restaurant called for me, since there's no front desk. The guy who answered almost didn't let me in, since I didn't arrive before 8pm, a requirement that I was not aware of. He constantly reminded me that if I had arrived 5 minutes later, I would not have been able to enter that night. The internet did not reach our dorm room, so I had to sit outside the office to use it. Even though the two other people in my dorm room were great, it was simply impossible to wake up or go to bed without waking everyone else up, mostly because we had to slam the door to shut it and because of the room's layout. All in all, this place has potential, but I cannot recommend it with so many other options available in Rome.
My expectations were probably a little higher seeing that the descriptions didn't match the accommodations
I was given the impression that I would be staying in a small room by myself but ended up in a 3 person dorm with a shared bathroom that was not able to lock. Though my room mates changed during my stay, everyone respected each others privacy and were very friendly.
I just needed an affordable place to rest my head while in Rome so this did not bother me as much... after all, this is the backpackers experience. However, I just wished they were more transparent with their description so I knew what to expect.
It also would have been nice if the TV worked and the light fixtures should be replaced but the AC worked well and kept the room a great temperature despite the warm weather at the time.
The best part was that it was in walking distance to the Vatican and allowed me to see the beauty of Rome without breaking the bank. Now with my expectations in order, I don't mind using the room again for a quick trip.
Great place, on the main drag but QUIET and beautiful. Really loved the atmosphere and the beautiful flower vine outside. It was a little bit of a hassle trying to contact the guy 48hrs in advance especially since I did not know how public transportation worked (or how long it took) but it all worked out, as it always does when you travel. Would definatly recommend to a solo or couple. Not a good place for a group of friends or family. There weren't tons of common ares to chill at.
