Loved our time at Cesare Balbo! Would come again!

We had a great time at Cesare Balbo Inn. Luca was incredibly warm and helpful - taking his time to make sure we were fully situated and give suggestions for our trip in Rome. After some poor experiences with the staff is another hotel in Milan, this was so refreshing. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. They bring you a simple Italian breakfast of croissants and tea/coffee each morning, which is a nice touch. Location was also good! Close to the Roma Termini station and in walking distance (10-15 min) of the Colosseum. The staff is around until 6 pm each day - which wasn't a problem for us and Luca is pretty responsive over phone/email. However, if you want someone on staff 24/7 that would just be something to consider. Loved our stay at Cesare Balbo! Highly recommend!

The staff was extremely helpful in check in and check out. They helped arrange a car for us when we had to leave for the airport early on Sunday with a good deal. Great location in Monti.

This property is very centrally located and excellent for walking and seeing all the attractions of Rome. Also very accessible to the Train, Metro and Buses. The Inn is very clean and well taken care of and the staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Gave us excellent recommendations for dinner each night and where very precise with directions. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Rome and would highly recommend it.

Great apartment in a central location

The room was clean and comfortable enough for 4 people. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is located in a great area! Lots of restaurants and shops around. Everything is walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great until we got a call from the owner being yelled at for not taking a guest key and being told that we were making it inconvenient for the staff because they would have to stay to open the gate for us. On the site it says the staff is there from 8:30am-8:30pm. We were back back 2:45pm so that would mean the staff should be there anyway to buzz us in but it’s okay, we just accepted being yelled at in the middle of a tour.

In a great location with heaps of amazing restaurants nearby, walking distance to Termini (main train station) and sites. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff extremely welcoming. As in description, reception isn’t open 24hrs do you meet someone on arrival. Only have positive things to say about our stay :)

Exceeded expectations

We stayed here for three nights. Conveniently located within walking distance from main train station, metro and major attractions. Very nice quiet street. Luca was waiting for us and helped us to check in. Our room was beautiful and spacious. Complementary coffee/tea station in the hallway was very convenient. Wifi and AC worked great. We would stay here again.

I'd recommend a stay. Good location, everything worked, staff helpful, good value. Just note reception is not 24 hrs which could be an issue if you arrive late. They stayed on for us as we arrived lste. Luca, manager, stayed in touch, which I really appreciated, to make sure someone was there.

Muito bom

Muito bom! Guesthouse simples mas muito limpa e confortável. Camas confortáveis e bom espaço para os padrões europeus. Ar condicionado e wifi eficientes. Água quente e bom chuveiro. Não experimentei o café da manhã. Localização excelente, num bairro tranquilo e de facílimo acesso a pé à estação Termini, ao Coliseu, aos bares e restaurantes da Via Nazionale e ao centro histórico. Estação do metrô Cavour a menos de 5 minutos. Muita gentileza e cuidado por parte do Luca, sempre atento, solícito e presente. Único ponto a se atentar é para o horário limite para o check in, mas também muito bem ressaltado pelo Luca em toda comunicação prévia à chegada.

Great location and very clean guest house

We really enjoyed our stay at Cesar. We communicated a later check in time but we ended up coming in a few hours early. Luca was quick to respond and his employee showed up right away to assist. It is walking distance to Termini station and to the main attractions in town. It was very clean and spacious. I would recommend and come back.

Great location, great value

We took the airport bus to the termini and walked to the guest house where we had a very warm welcome from Luca. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and the shower was hot! Teas and coffees available at reception. The guest house is central to all the major tourist attractions that we wanted to see and a nearby metro took us to the Vatican. Lots of restaurants nearby for dinner and the area is quiet during the night.
