The silo was everything we hoped for and more. Location was only about ten minutes away from all the beautiful hiking spots. Was like our own little secluded slice of heaven. Might have to come back next year!
Absolutely beautiful renovation of a grain silo! We had a beautiful trip to Hocking Hills in this unique setting that was secluded yet close to everything. Every detail was checked off. Megan communicated every step of the way and handled our last minute reservation. We will definitely stay again. Clean, beautiful, smart home with amenities we didn't even know we needed and the shower is unbelievable!
Stayed for my husband's birthday celebration. We loved that we could bring our dog and enjoyed hiking, canoeing, and hanging in the hot tub. The silo was immaculate. We are DIYers and marveled at the design concept and how it was pulled up. Bed was super comfy too!
The grain silo is perfect for a romantic getaway. My wife and I recently stayed for our anniversary and everything was perfect. Hot tub was great. Bed super comfy. Host great to communicate with and accommodating. Would stay again
We had such a fun and relaxing time at such an unique place to stay. We were celebrating our Anniversary and they were so sweet to leave us a small cake and our doggy a treat too. The coke machine was such a nice extra touch. Very clean and one of our favorite places we have stayed.we have ever stayed.
The silo is full of amenities, and the hosts covered absolutely all the bases. Cool location with the sounds of farm animals nearby. More privacy outside when leaves are on the trees. Great stay!
Very unique place that is clean and accommodating to a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Customer service was great and they were helpful with suggesting things to do in the area
This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s a peaceful get away that is closer than you think. Other than the bugs it was a perfect place to escape for an intimate experience.
Ian was a wonderful host that was very accommodating to our situation. Check in was very simple and easy and the vintage coke dispenser was a nice surprise. Stairs to second level were steeper than we prepared for but still wonderful stay.
The space is just as advertised - except the bathroom is better than the picture. Everything was perfect! It’s close to attractions and easy to find.
The stairs up to the bedroom loft are a bit tricky so it isn’t ideal for someone who isn’t sure-footed, but it’s worth navigating them for the super comfortable bed and views from the balcony.
We had a wonderful stay at The Silo. On arrival, check in was super efficient and the place was warm and welcoming. We appreciated the small gift to celebrate our anniversary. Communication with Ian was excellent. The aesthetic is amazing. The full range of facilities were outstanding- firepit, grill, hottub, kitchen, oven, etc. Bed was very comfy with the pillows, bedding, and matress. If you are looking for a weekend getaway- this is the perfect spot!
The silo was awesome!! Very unique design and efficiently laid out. Just a short drive to antiques, shopping or hiking depending on our mood that day. Then evenings spent under the stars in the hot tub... Much needed relaxation time.
Thank you for the experience!!
The silo with my girlfriend was a great experience. It was centrally located and easy to get to all the parks. Check in process was easy and we were pleasantly surprised by cleanliness and amenities (hot tub and rain shower). The owners thought of all the details needed to make a few nights away enjoyable. We highly recommend for a couples get away. Only note would be this unit would be difficult with kids or someone that has difficulty with steep stairs. Overall 5 stars!!!
The owners sent me all the info we needed before arrival with great tips and directions, even let me know of some events happening in town while we'd be there. The house was easy to get into, everything was super clean and beautifully set up. The kitchen has a roomy mini fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, dinnerware, spices and anything else you might need. The bathroom was very big and the shower was so cool. The stairs took some getting used to, but no issues, and the bed was big and comfy. An awning or something over the hot tub would have been nice since it rained Saturday and it dripped through the deck slats into the hot tub. Other than that, super relaxing, beautiful all around. We will definitely be back!!
We really could not have asked for a better get away! Trevor planned this as a surprise trip for our honeymoon and absolutely crushed it! The silo was the cutest! He could hardly wait for me to see it because he was really hoping that I loved it in person as much as he did in the pictures…. I absolutely did! The silo is spacious and has such great amenities! I loved the hot tub and Trevor thought the antique working pop machine was the coolest thing ever! Also, Ian and Megan were wonderful with communication and are just overall lovely people. They had a card and cake for us wishing us all the best as newlyweds. Honestly, how many hosts would be so thoughtful?! If we choose to go back and stay around Hocking Hills this will be our choice every single time! We absolutely loved our stay!
This place was beyond gorgeous! I’m bummed we didn’t stay longer. The property owner was very friendly and quick to respond when I reached out for assistance with directions. I expected a pet friendly rental to be a little worn and odorous but this place was immaculate. There was no sign of animals ever being in that silo. Very clean, inside and out! We would have been content never leaving to see a cave LOL! My family will be booking this again!!! We LOVED everything about it! Thank you for all the free drinks and campfire starting bundle as well!!! You guys thought of everything!
I wanted our stay in Hocking Hills for my granddaughter's (early) 12th birthday to be extra special and staying in this converted (authentic) grain bin silo was absolutely perfect!!
The A/C in the 90+ degree temps held it's own!!! The waterfall shower area is insane!! Just wow!! A full kitchen plus an authentic Coke machine where you stick in a quarter, open the narrow side door and pull out a bottle was just so cool!
There is a fire ring and a hot tub and a balcony upstairs off the bedroom. The bed upstairs is surrounded by sheer curtains which was very cool and the mattress was EXCELLENT!
This was an early surprise 12th birthday adventure for my granddaughter and much to our surprise, the owner, Ian had a birthday cake and card in the frig?! So grateful for sure!!
Ian even gave us a full tour of this amazing silo and how it was constructed! A huge fan is at the very top of the silo and lots of cool lighting and a couple other surprises await for their guests!!
I would suggest you help the owners water their flowers using the water collected in the dehumidifyer when it fills up like I did! The dehumidifyer also worked really well and I have to say the towels are all super soft!!
I highly recommend a stay here and all the stops and trails we hit were all super easy to get from this silo. It is located on one of the major exits off Rt 33 and takes a very short time to get to! All bonuses to this amazing property!! Thank you to the owners!!
