The room was, in fact, spotless. Very nice staff. Very nicely designed restoration of a classic late 50s, early 60s architectural style with modern conveniences. Nicely done. Very comfortable. Super clean.

We loved staying here! It was nice to break away from the chain hotels, and Colony House was so pretty--retro, but modern. Our room was so clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The area is convenient, too.

Renovation is a super success

The renovation created a really cool art deco vibe that is uncommon for motels. Super, super clean and it was very convenient to parts of Roanoke that we needed to see. I'd 100% stay here again.

Colony House Roanoke

The Colony House Motor Lodge was a cute and clean motel. The bed was so comfortable and I sleep great. The room was very clean. The location was close to attractions and restraurants that I wanted to visit.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous! It was a perfect stop en route to the mountains in NC and the design is impeccable! They really nailed the mid-century modern roadside motel motif -it was perfect and functional without being overdone. It was perfect for a roadtrip getting to pull up to our room to unload. The staff was very accommodating for our pets as well. We will absolutely stay again.

This was the COOLEST stay. We happened upon this cute little hotel while passing through. So happy we did. It has just been redone and the touches are fabulous. Everything is so cute and very comfortable. We love roadtrips and finding this little gem was one of our most memorable stops.

Beautifully redone rooms that are spacious and with basic conveniences. Retro, clean vibe-love that it’s not carpet! Staff is amazing and very welcoming. Even though it is close to the street, the traffic noise isn’t too bad. Very well lit and safe feel with great food options all around. Will definitely stay here again if in the area!

Very clean, nice room. Downsides were that the heat was off in my room when I arrived and it took over three hours to get it to room temperature. Also the gym was closed for construction. No breakfast included. Staff were very friendly.

The renovation here is amazing. The mid-century vibe is too die! Huge bathroom and shower. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet. I loved being able to park right in front of my room. The only suggestion I would make is an in room coffee maker. I really hope more people will try a stay here. I will be back when I'm in the area. Definitely a great experience. This renovated motel is so fun, adorable, and really comfortable. Everything is new and so well designed. The furniture and bed were so nice. The one issue was determining if daily cleaning was included. They never cleaned our room, three night stay, but did bring us fresh towels. Staff is friendly but did not seem too experienced. The negative is that they are still under renovation, so environment not great outside. There was no construction noise over the weekend. Would stay there again!

Colony House Motor Lodge was a pleasure to stay in. Very clean and comfortable. I heard they just finished renovating the whole place - it has a retro vibe and the workmanship is excellent. From design to finishes you can tell they didn't cut corners. It's top quality. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was comfortable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I even forgot my computer cord when I checked out, and they went above and beyond by mailing it back to me free of charge—I really appreciate their thoughtfulness and efficiency. Their service truly left a lasting impression, and I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend!
