Employees at desk and restaurant were friendly & helpful. Room was spacious and had a small balcony with a view of the harbor. Bed was pretty new but hard. Pool was cool ... but not cold, and the poolside furniture was serviceable. Breakfast included with hotel stay was more than decent: fresh fruits, coffee, eggs. Beer & wine selection could be better. Rio Lagartos is not a sophisticated town, so don't plan on fancy fancy, but it's a good place to relax and to go on a nature tour (flamingos, pelicans, frigates, crocodiles, mangrove, etc). Just about every restaurant in town advertises tourist information; after a bit, you learn to tell them you want less, not more, information. Price for the room, esp as it included food, was very good, and the staff would make up your room every day if you wanted it done.

The staff were excellent. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The roof top deck was such a great space to have a drink on and to look at the views of the river. The pool with swings and a bar was a great place to hang out in to cool down on a hot day.

The room suite was good, clean and with a nice view. The wi-fi was excellent. But on the negative side the breakfast service was really poor, mediocre. It took us 45 minutes after the order to get our eggs. No choice in drinks. Poor choice in bearkfast stuff.

Staff are super helpful and friendly, the hotel is spotlessly clean. I really want to leave a good review as they are trying so hard, but there are shortcomings that could easily be addressed. The rooms are pretty basic and a couple of glasses, a hairdryer, extra towels etc would make a huge difference. Restaurant staff need proper training - they try very hard but seem unsure as to what they should be doing. They didn’t offer us the correct breakfast menu or explain options. There wasn’t much choice on the menu but food was ok.

We were welcomed with a drink, and sent up 3 flights of stairs to our room (my husband is 70), The room was mediocre and overlooked the kids playground. No waterview and not romantic. When I asked for a room with a view I was told NO. I was informed that waterview suites were only for families. I made it clear I wasnt on vacation to sleep outside a playground.
