Renovation needed

The hotel needs renovation, but it is situated perfectly, with view from all rooms and excellent rooftop. The bad thing - smell in our room and in some public places

Very well located hotel for seeing Rio. I would stay there again. Concierge service very helpful. Pool is very small and shallow. Better suited as a fish pond. But views of Rio from it are second to none.

Great property located near the beach! I will staying at the sister resort in Columbia, so I decided to stay here as well. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Also, like that there weren’t many hotels located nearby in Ipanema, so it didn’t seem over saturated with people. Towards the end of our stay, the FIFA World Cup was about to begin. More guests started to arrive which only proved that we chose the right hotel/resort.

Cheguei no hotel o check In foi bem demorado. Quando fui para o quarto, o lixo do banheiro não tinha sido retirado do hóspede anterior. A roupa de cama estava remendada e com aspecto sujo. Não sou de reclamar mas dessa vez achei demais primeiro pelo preço da diária e segundo que o Sofitel tem um nome a zelar e achei dessa vez uma experiência ruim.

Roubada na piscina

Infelizmente tive problemas na minha estadia, fui roubada na piscina do hotel. Fui reclamar na recepção e a resposta que tive era que não tinham como acessar as filmagens pois não havia segurança no hotel . Ficaram de me dar retorno na segunda feira e não fizeram. Liguei e falaram que me retornariam no final do dia e tb não cumpriram com o combinado. Fiquei indignada com o tratamento e com o comprometimento! Não indico a ninguém!!

Location was fantastic, right across the street from the beach and near a bunch of great restaurants. The beach service where they give you umbrellas towels and chairs was very nice as well. The rooms are in good condition and cleaning and service was good. The ppl area is nice, albeit somewhat small and the food from the restaurants is expensive (much better to go to other restaurants in the area).
