The room is fine, although the tv didn't work but we never remembered to tell the staff. breakfast was a disappointment as although the room suggests an orderable, made to order menu, it was buffet style each morning. still it was the best option in the area so would book again.
stayed for 1 week bed & breakfast.
Checked in OK. Room size OK, but overlooking car-park with main road 50 metres away.
Room furnished with freestanding pine double wardrobe accommodating full-sized ironing board, electric iron and hairdryer. space divided into 2, left side fore and aft clothes hanging rail (6 hangers),right side 3 shelves 2 drawers. The wardrobe double doors warped, difficult to open & close making loud squealing noise! the drawers were off their broken runners and operated in/out with difficulty. next, a desk/table with
3 drawers, kettle, 3 mugs & tea coffee making items. 1x dining chair and 2x single beds with bedside cabinets.
The only lighting in the room (apart from natural light) was provided by 2x bedside
anglepoise style lamps with 40W bulb in each.
A 10'' portable fan was atop the desk.
The bathroom was clean and modern looking, but an ergonomic disaster!
A full sized deep bath with shower curtain, tropical rain shower head and hand -held
shower head. PROBLEM! the shower heads and plug-hole at opposite end of bath to the shower controls. So one had to traverse the length of the bath to switch on/off or to change temperature. Non-slip mat available on request.
The mirrors are placed above a shelf over the sink at a height whereby my wife (5feet tall) could only see the top of her head reflected.
The dining-room and bar had no cooling (outside air temp 34C). A request to the manager for a fan in dining-room eventually produced one borrowed from recep.
Really convenient place to stop on way to Dorset to rest and refresh before continuing journey. Room was spacious and had attractive bathroom. Receptionist was polite and helpful. The view from my window was a field and trees which I appreciated. Huge TV and very comfortable bed. Would stay again.
My only issue was that I saw some dot grips on the bath beneath the shower and thought they would prevent slipping, but the bath tub was slippery still and I hurt my knee on the side of the bath. I looked for a plastic shower mat but there wasnt one. I wanted to report this to reception but it wasn't manned at 7.30am when I left. It was room 23.
I didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that.
Surprised we were given a room with a disabled bathroom but glad we didn't have stairs to climb as we are OAPs. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Disappointed with breakfast. We opted for continental breakfast. Regardless of arriving just after 8.30am, there was little choice and quantity available. We noticed other guests who were waiting for hot food had already taken large quantities of the continental choices, to be consumed as a second course. Regardless of being entitled to all the food on offer, it seemed rather greedy to deprive other guests. Maybe more food should be provided. The coffee and milk flasks were difficult to use. Had to ask for help from another guest as no staff around. Toaster was ineffective as toast was hardly brown. Very disappointed and left the table hungry.
The internet was very good in the bar area but not in my room. The room was very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was very good offering a great choice, most of the staff were very chatty, all in all i had a good overnight stay and i would recommend your hotel.
Room was clean, only issue we had was the toilet roll was not replenished, so had to find someone to replace them.
Breakfast was good, the danish pastries not replenished until requested.
It was a very pleasant experience, just a couple of things need looking into.. The hallway carpets smell damp and need a spruce up, and the toaster in the area where you have breakfast needs setting up correctly so the toast slides out at the bottom instead of you having to go underneath the toaster to dig your toast out that it just places underneath - great shower, comfy bed, great pub.
Very clean, good size room, friendly staff, nice cooked breakfast and fast service

Room no.19 was very dark. It really needed a table lamp for the table. There wasn’t any hand wash available. The towel rail didn’t heat up. There wasn’t any cover for the light above the mirror in the bathroom, and it would be nice to have another chair to relax on.
But all the staff were very good
The staff were incredibly friendly and kind when I felt unwell. I was amazed the following morning when they recognised me and asked how I was.
Rooms beautifully clean, food excellent.
