Great place to stay! The owners are in the process of renovating the space and it looks gorgeous. The location is perfect for exploring the old town, close to bus stops for tours, and taxi stands for transport to airport or cruise port, Owners were really helpful with phone calls, Getting room ready early, supplying information and directions. Would stay here again... and again!

If you are looking for a small, self-service hotel right in the middle of a walkable part of Reykjavik, this is great. You will hear the city sounds from local businesses until the bars and pubs close, so just be aware. And, the shower is perfect for us taller folk...height, pressure, and temperature.

Excellent location for tourist activity in the city. Let the staff arrange taxi pickups for you; they know the local drivers. The bathroom tap water really is cold Icelandic glacier water. No need to buy bottled water.
