What makes this place special is Dennis, his hospitality is beyond any Marriott or Westin can offer. On top of this you get to stay in a cozy, Hallmark mansion for couple days, if you are looking for a nice bed and breakfast definitely book this place; worth every penny!
The owner, Dennis, could not have been a better “host”. It was evident that when you love what you do, it’s not work. The Inn was superb in so many ways; beautiful architecture, details to rave about, charming, picturesque, historic beauty, fabulous breakfast, all with so many personal touches.
Although it is a century-plus in age, the inn looked great. The innkeeper (Dennis) was friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and attentive during check-in, breakfast, and check-out. Just ten minutes from hiking, shopping, and eating/drinking...will return again!

Beautiful room, friendly inn keeper, and delicious breakfast! Would love to visit again!
We had a very enjoyable stay at the inn
Dennis was a very gracious host who took the time to answer all our questions about the inn and area
We also enjoyed one of the best breakfasts
I highly recommend staying here and know we will be returning
Our stay at the Inn at Centre Park was wonderful! We were in town for one night for a show at the Santander Arena and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home is beautiful with spacious rooms, high ceilings, original woodwork and molding, and other warm and inviting details. Super comfortable bed and pillows and excellent shower! Dennis is a remarkable host who made us feel right at home. And what's not to love about a made to order breakfast and the most delicious cantaloupe ever tasted? We hope to return some day.
The building, room, and grounds are lovely. Dennis was helpful, attentive, and wonderful to chat with. Also, the breakfast was 5star. I’ll definitely be staying here next time in Reading
This is a beautiful bed and breakfast . Inn keeper Dennis went over and above . Very clean and comfortable . A delicious breakfast provided . We were in town for a concert and this was a much better stay than a hotel . We absolutely loved it and to top it off Dennis’s wonderful hospitality .
This bed and breakfast is in a truly amazing historic mansion that has been kept in its original, beautiful condition. We just marveled at the original woodwork and decorated ceilings, etc. Dennis was a wonderful and helpful host and our breakfasts were delicious. We’d love to return and enjoy the property in a different season.
What an amazing stay! Brought my 13 year old daughter to her first concert, and we decided to stay here instead of a hotel. Excellent decision. The innkeeper was amazing, the suite was gorgeous and the bed was perfect. Fully recommend staying here!
Dennis was an excellent host. The breakfasts he serves we wonderful. He was accommodating to our dietary restrictions and the waffles were fabulous. We would definitely staff here again.
On the advice of written reviews. I was in town for a concert at Santander. Opted for the inn instead of the larger hotel. Best decision I could have made! The inn was gorgeous, relaxing with so much character and charm. Everything was thought of from complimentary water, soda, tea, coffee and impeccable accommodations. Dennis the innkeeper was such a gracious host and very knowledgeable on the area. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! Can’t wait to come back to visit.
Dennis, the innkeeper, was friendly, helpful, and provided great conversation! He helped us with our luggage upon arrival, told us about the history of the house, gave us restaurant suggestions, wished us a pleasant day as we left the property, and was quick to welcome us back and inquire how our day went upon our return. We even had some conversation about gardening! He made us feel welcome and completely at ease during our stay.
Our room, Sarah's Suite, was BEAUTIFUL. It is full of character and charm with a peaceful balcony, which we used for coffee in the morning and reading and a drink before sunset. The front porch is also very inviting. Complementary soft drinks are available outside the rooms, while Kuerig coffee, tea, and hot cocoa options are available inside the room.
The breakfast is excellent! He says his waffles are world famous, and we agree. The meal begins with fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. The waffles with strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar with a side of sausage on day one hit the spot, as did the amazing made to order omelet, bacon, potatoes, and English muffins on day two.
We wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this wonderful inn!
Beautiful old mansion full of charm and history. Dennis, the innkeeper was beyond hospitable. He was very friendly and put on no airs. We immediately felt comfortable. Dennis was happy to show us around and chat about the history of the home. We stayed in "The Wilhelm" suite. It was huge and well appointed. We felt as though we had stepped back in time yet it had all the modern conveniences such as comfortable bed, television, refrigerator and Keurig coffeemaker. At check-in, Dennis asked what time we would like breakfast and if we had any food allergies or diet restrictions. After a wonderful night's sleep, we showered and headed downstairs. We were offered a variety of omelet selections and juices. A platter of the most delicious fresh fruit was served while our breakfast was being prepared. Our omelets were freshly made and served with bacon, potatoes and english muffin. My husband and I agreed that it was the best breakfast ever. We will definitely be returning to Reading, Pennsylvania to stay at the Inn at Centre Park.
If you have to stay in Reading, PA, this is the place to stay. The whole establishment is gorgeous and kept in such great shape. It’s like being transported to the past. The manager was kind and friendly and very helpful with recommendations. Breakfast was delightful (hopefully you get to try to omelette and the potatoes). The town itself is very quiet and shuts down early so expect to get plenty of sleep in the extra comfy beds there.
In every way, every detail this is a place I want to come back to over and over. Dennis is so friendly and helpful. He is very committed to the guest’s experience being all that it can be. The breakfast was amazing. Very clean and absolutely beautiful.
