This is an excellent place to stay! It was clean and quiet. The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The Gaslight restaurant is close by and the food was good. As a bonus on Thursday nights, local bluegrass musicain play live right in the restaurant. The place is conveniently located about halfway between Rapid City and the Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments.
This was a lovely stay! Room was clean and well maintained. Loved the kitchen amenities and wished we were staying for more time. Quiet setting. Lodge area for breakfast was very welcoming.
First time staying, really enjoyed it. The owners were lovely and super friendly. The place had everything we needed. Perfect location for exploring Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore. Rooms were clean. Water pressure was amazing. AC unit worked great. The location was perfect.
Perfect place to stay if all you need is a place to sleep while exploring the area. Beds are comfortable, shower has great water pressure, very quiet at night. Great food just across the road. All major attractions are within 30 minutes. We will definitely stay here again
Very nice cabins located close to Mt Rushmore. Five minutes from Keystone and not as crowded. Good clean water, nice sized room, and comfy bed. Coffee, TV, microwave and small refrigerator. New style split AC units kept us very comfortable. Quiet and lovely area in the woods.
What a gem. Total throwback to traveling with my parents in the late 80s. Yes, room was small and bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but such a better memory than a chain hotel with no character. Perfect location for exploring the area.
Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Felt safe and secure. No elevator, so depending on where room is you might have to climb a good flight of stairs. Had to drive to main lodge for breakfast (cereal, mini muffins, toast, fruit). Getting across the busy road can be a challenge if you check in after dark and aren’t familiar with roads, but it’s a neat area.
Very clean and cozy! Great place to stay for a visit to Rushmore.

Disliked: Amenities
Staff was friendly. Room was very small, especially the bathroom. Seemed clean except for the caulking around the shower, which was deteriorating and dirty. Breakfast had very few options.
This is a place in Rockerville right across from a popular restaurant that has live music. I stayed in a single room. The room was tiny with just enough room for a bed and mini fridge. It's a convenient location to get around and see Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse, and Custer State Park. Staff was really nice. It's not fancy, but very comfortable. I chose this place because of location and price, close and inexpensive. I'd stay again if I needed to be in the area.
We were the for a family vacation with our adult kids and grandkids. We felt just like we were at home with the warm welcome, comfortable rooms, relaxing lounge and the kids loved the splash pad and playground. This will definitely be our go-to place to stay when we vacation in the Blavk Hills again.
Nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and neat. The water is hot. Do not count on the complimentary breakfast. Great location, in the middle of everything. Other than that, it was a really good stay.
