Great area. The staff was accommodating but not the most professional. Overall fine stay.
Cleanliness of room, sheets, bathroom was an issue. Noise was a big problem as I was trying to get a few hours of sleep before having to continue my 15 hrs roadtrip back home. Will not be staying there again.
We enjoyed the stay, the place was clean but limited on amenities. But its location on Hillsborough St. was near EVERYTHING we were in town for. The staff went above and beyond, they were extermely friendly and accomodating. We highly reccomend this property.
Room was not clean to the standard that Hilton should be, bathroom was small but usable. Bed was comfortable. Night check-in person was talking about people at the bar to another worker while I was checking in.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The rooms were okay but a little outdated. The air and heat is controlled as whole so you get air or heat whenever they decide. With the temperature dropping down to the 30s at night some heat would’ve been nice.
Our friends room had a tick on their bed and ants under the cushion in the chair in their room. The second room they were given had a dead stink bug on the floor. The restaurant had a very limited menu. I would not return to a Double Tree as a result. There were people screaming at 11:30pm at night in the room above us. I would not recommend this hotel for your stay in Raleigh.

I should have known better than to stay in a hotel on a college campus on Saturday night.
If you're looking for some sleep don't stay here.
If you're looking for a party, this is your place.
We liked the location but there was a very loud party and wedding going on and we didn't get to sleep until 5am bc of the loud partying and cussing outside in parking lot. Police should have been called. In room 517 we had to air conditioning and it was hot all night. Breakfast and the lady serving coffee was amazing!
We've stayed at this hotel before and liked it - this visit we were put in a handicap room on the 1st floor (after hearing the man in front of us being offered a city view), the room was FREEZING and very dark and dreary. We asked the front desk and was told it would warm up, it never did. Overall just not a pleasant stay, very disappointing.
I booked the junior suite. There were spider webs over my curtains, the tables in the sitting area had many scraped and chips in the furniture, the sliding glass door to the balcony handle was falling off only one screw had in holding on, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, the front entrance door had a gap under the door so big something could easily crawl under there. For the price and name I would think that the rooms would be more up to date cleaned more thoroughly. I love staying at the double tree but will not stay at this location again

There were ants in the bathroom and burn holes in the drapes. This hotel used to be pretty good 4-5 years ago but seems to have gone downhill the past couple of years.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The property is so run down. Very noisy and not very clean.
Let me start by saying I never write reviews. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but my stay at Hilton Doubletree Midtown Raleigh was terrible. Had to switch rooms during my stay. Once I did the second room shower did not work and neither did the heat. We were having an ice storm. The only positive is the maintenance man to come and fix those things for us. We were expecting breakfast on our second day. Come to find out the restaurant was closed. The first room we stayed in had hairs of a private nature all over the shower. Obviously not clean. And during times of Covid you help that your hotel room is not only clean but sanitized.
I’ve stayed at this property a few times before with wonderful experiences, but this time I was very disappointed in the condition of the hotel. My room was dirty and there were ants in my bathroom. I had to change rooms Christmas morning. The front desk offered no apologies or acknowledgment of the dirty room.
I think this is my last stay at this property. I think I should get a discount on my stay.

Lock on room door broken and parking lot area seemed sketchy
Hotel was very clean and nice, as was our room. Staff were considerate and helpful as well. My only gripe was the breakfast. Breakfast was not free (or cheap), but was basically what a free breakfast would include and underwhelming. Also, I don't feel like I should have to sign up for a membership to get free wifi in 2021.
Don't want the concerns to sour the review too much, because overall the hotel was great.
