Rooms were clean and decent food wasnt the greatest but the resort was good sized and lots of pools to choose from. Friendly staff. Make sure you use bug spray before being in the sand, sand fleas were horrible.

This place knew how to keep the party going, always something going on.. clean, friendly and the beach is beautiful.. only downfall was the bug bites I got from either mosquitoes or sand fleas,, next time I’ll be sure to have bug spray

Don’t believe the negative reviews, Great overall stay, this was my 5th time in punta Cana and probably my favourite resort, amazing grounds/beach and above average food. Service was great and the jerk chicken by the beach is 10/10 Great overall value for money, if you want a luxurious experience pay double the price and go elsewhere

The room was excellent, atmosphere, grounds and amenities were great, the staff was very attentive however the food and drinks got repetitive after a few days which led us to outside services. The entertainment was top tier. The jerk chicken was amazing! The grounds and amenities were nice. We enjoyed the kid free environment which allowed us to make friends and have a fun time on an adult level.

I enjoyed my stay at RIU Republica in DR. Staff was always cleaning, so I appreciated that. The food wasn't all that great at the buffets but the restaurants were a little better. It was all inclusive food and alcohol but the alcohol was Not top shelf, all cheap brands. Beach access was nice. There was plenty of pool space and they were clean.

Room was good, clean and well stocked. Food was good but not nearly enough options for allergen issues, egg free options VERY MINIMAL. Nightly entertainment was ok but would like an actual performance or show something other than singers - singing. Resort itself is smaller but mostly well kept. Staff are very friendly. Had a couple days with power failures for the entire resort but impact was minimal.

Staff was attentive but I would not stay there again. Rooms are outdated. Had to change rooms twice due to uncleanliness. Food was average. Nothing special Amenities were mediocre. Gym equipment was broken and dirty. Place needs a thorough cleaning. Spa was nice. One of the best massages I ever had.

If you stay, wear bug spray. My legs got absolutely eaten up by mosquitos and sand fleas. Staff were nice, food was meh, and the place needs some serious deep cleaning and renovations. The jerk chicken bones in the sand and various cockroach sightings were also very offputting.

Room was nice . Had a few really good staff member's that I really enjoyed junior , and Duonis . Food was alright. Breakfast was always out when i showed up early . No seats 3 mornings in a row, waitress was super rude to me when I was directed by another waitress to an open table she made me get up and goto a dirty table . So i ate in my room a couple mornings. The buffet was okay but some of the food was tasteless , not seasoned. Spanish food was the only food that stood out as being very good. Ocean spot was really nice . Not much of a drinker but seems the high light for this hotel is everyone getting drunk all the time .

Staff was great. Room was not updated or 100% clean. There was sand on the floor inside the room, loose hair in different parts of the room and bathroom. Upon arrival at 5pm, the water in my bathroom was not working. The staff said that's normal and it will come back on in 20 mins. Very inconvenient and unprofessional.

Overall, the experience was good, understanding that it sits comfortably at a solid 7 out of 10. The staff truly stands out: attentive, proactive, and respectful, without the uncomfortable pressure for tips that you sometimes encounter elsewhere. Our family room, which included two bedrooms and two bathrooms, was spacious and clean. Housekeeping came daily and consistently did an excellent job. It’s important to note that this is not a RIU top-tier property. The hotel facilities have seen better days. While everything functions as expected, some areas feel worn and could benefit from updates. Food is abundant but not exceptional. Among the dining options, the steakhouse restaurants offered the best quality and were the most enjoyable; Olé was our favorite among the walk-ins. One positive detail worth mentioning is the free transportation between this hotel and the Riu Palace Bavaro. Visiting the Palace Bavaro gave a clear sense of the RIU quality level we were originally expecting, which helps put this property into context. The hotel offers a good variety of activities and a clear separation of atmospheres. There is a lively area near the main pools and beach for guests seeking a more energetic vibe, and a quieter section on the opposite end for those who prefer a calmer experience. Room was okay , staff will not really pay attention to you unless you give them cash but that’s probably almost everywhere in the Dominican , but the hotel it self it’s nice , pools and beach areas are clean, food is not bad at all . and the riu parties are so much fun. I will recommend this place if you looking to party , drinks and have fun. If you looking for nice rooms, special amenities top service , don’t go there .
