"Worst hotel ever stayed at unable to check in on first night as hotel locked. Sat outside for 2 hours then had to go to another hotel at €109 for night. Hotel Clos did not respond to phone or text while we were sat outside!"

"We arrived at 6pm for Check in & even though there was a note on the door to say it was open, it was locked & no-one came to greet us. The yard was very messy & there were lots of cats everywhere. We left to find more suitable accommodation."

"Unfortunately our stay at the priory did not meet our expectations. I had seen the house listed on another site and it sounded incredible. Sadly it feels like this house is at the end of its life. It is quite run down in places and parts of it are dirty and unsafe. Room fans covered in dust. Plug sockets unattached to walls. Pool was unusable due to an algae issue and not having enough chemicals. Mice in the tower. Host was very responsive however but the pool issue was not sorted and this was a massive disappointment for the whole 18 of us, of which 8 were children. "

" Nice spacicous rooms. One problem was the heat. No aircon. The outside temperature was particularly hot, 39°C. The room fan helped but other areas were extremely warm. Still like this hotel and will stay again in the future."

"Clean room but basic, in need of some modernisation. Breakfast was basic too, but served a purpose. Location in parthenay was good! And parthenay itself is a lovely place to stay. "
