The hotel does not deserve stars

We were very disapointed by the low standing of the hotel. Staff at reception is nice but the management is a disaster. - breakfast: dry bred and croissants. They serve you food from the day before that was not eaten. The food was also missing and not replaced as it should be. -room: it was very old and very noisy until hearing everything from the other rooms..... Also there is a boiler in the room but no cup, no spoon, neither Coffe nor tea that you have to buy in the shop across the street. It's a shame for a "4 stars" hotel. -comodity: the hotel is far away (around 30 min walking) from the points on interest so you have to take the metro or the bus. When you point out something is not working they answer that they are refurbishing the building this is why prices are so low !!! I am very sorry but this is not a valid excuse to justify the lack of attention in the room that are not under refurbishment. The service is not managed by workers but by the staff of the hotel.

Good value in a grear part of the city.

I knew about the hotel as it was just across the street from my old apartment. It is old with a lot of charm. The lady at the fronr who checked me in and out was very pleasant and speaks English quite well. Ir is not a luxurious hotel but quite nice and in a great part of the city.

Godt hotel sammenlignet med tilsvarende. Beliggenhed er ikke dårligt ift shoppings muligheder og heller ikke så langt fra byenscenter og gode transport muligheder i nærheden. Rent og pænt både i værelset, badet og restauranten hvor morgenmaden også er god. Personalet er flinke og servicemindede og kan svare på det vigtigste en besøgende spørger om.

Good hotel, could do with a refurbishment

The staff at the hotel were lovely and the location is also very good near a shopping centre, major metro station etc. My WiFi was also fine. However be aware that although this is a four star hotel, I think it’s in need of a renovation. The decor in the rooms is dated, no pictures etc. My tap in the bathroom wobbled about to the point I was worried it would come off which all shows if they did it up it would be a lot better hotel. Also be aware that although they have a restaurant in the hotel, when I asked for food I was told this was only for groups of people so I had to leave the hotel to find somewhere to eat when I picked a hotel that had a restaurant so that I could have my meals in the hotel.

Das hotel ist sehr elegant und zentral gelegen. Es ist sauber und das deutsch sprechende Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider bietet das Hotel keine eigenen parkplätze obwohl es in der Beschreibung angegeben wird.

Disappointing room - not very clean, bath room door was broken and the shower tub was also damaged. Most positive was the location which was still central, but away from the busy tourist spot, hence more authentic

Praga Hotel Review

Hotel is based in a nice area ( New Town ) close to Angel a main station connected by Bus/Tram and underground rail station. Took a bus # 191 from airport which is about 40 mins. Hotel has old arichtecture big room with high ceiling, Rugs are old , Bathroom is decent size , had a cracked shower floor. Room facing the main road has continous vehicular traffic of cars/ Tram / Trucks. Breakfast was decent and well presented. Ideal for 2-3 days stay has lots of choices of restaurants / Bars / fast food ( KFC/Starbucks ) Also Hop on Hop off tours stop is near by walking distance and had Taj Mahal indian restaurant right across Staropramen Brewery. ensure you excange czK ( Kroner ) only after you have checked rate with atleast couple of banks or money excahge. Prague is a nice & worthy place to visit and is relatively cheaper then other EU destinations.
